As for the Drs, I might be inclined to take the kids with me and stage a protest until you get the form sorted. I cant believe that you are still waiting on the form!Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
I think a firmly worded letter to the senior partner is in order, cc'd to the Homeless Officer - followed up by an appointment with the Dr on Wednesday so she can fill the form in & give it to you without "misplacing" it again.
Hope your cold get better soon!

Hi Floss,
All done! Letter ready to take into Drs later this morning and a copy emailed to HLO - I hope it speeds things up! Thank you :TChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
sheesh you're really getting the run around aren't you! I think you should deffo make an appointment with the dr and see if she can use the time to fill out your form, how hard can it be? She only needs to copy from her records surely?
At least the housing officer knows you're doing everything you can.
Hope you're feeling better soon, wrap up warm and take plenty of fluids.0 -

Just hoping that by now you have got the letter sorted at least. I hope your Dr is never in this position, or has to go through the stress she has caused you

Yes and as soon as you try to 'speed things up' you are seen as being 'un-cooperative'.
I just wish that some of these beaurocrats could experience, at furst hand, what you are going through.
It's making me mad, and I'm not even the one that's suffering as a result of their arrogant incompetence. :mad:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi all,
Hope the Dr takes notice of my letter tomorrow and does complete form for me to take to council
Had small removal guy round tonight who told me that today he has moved an old lady out of a 3 bed council house in the area I would like to be. He gave me the address of the property - do you think I should write to the council and the HLO asking that they consider me for this property?
He does a lot of moves for the council (200-300 a year) and said that a) they ask council tenants who are leaving to leave any nets up at the windows so that the properties look occupied and b) that more often tham not these properties are left standing empty for 10 weeks or so - sometimes needing maintenance but again more often than not just left empty!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm now getting very worried as I really want to be out of here before b/f goes on holiday (27th) as I really need his support.Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
YES!
Sorry to shout! But yes, email your Homeless Officer and tell her you are aware of a 3-bed property that has become vacant....she may be able to "nab" it for you...if she says "no" then you are no worse off than you are now. She may say "yes".
Don't forget that any property you are given may have to be empty for a couple of weeks as a "void" being checked over & having any maintenance done before you can get into one.
Do we know the gentleman concerned? Is he going with you to the WotY?
(Just being nosey now!)
