Hi MOT, how's it going? Whilst I agree that the squeaky wheel gets the oil I personally would go for 'forceful' over 'stroppy', after all it's not the dr's sec fault that the dr has been sitting on the form for a week. I deal with dr's all the time in my job and believe me they take their own sweet time with everyone! Hopefully my comments are redundant and you are already in possession of your Dr's letter!
What date is the eviction set for? What has the HO said will happen if they haven't finished your assessment before the eviction? Have you told them that you don't have ANYWHERE to go or have you said you can stay with friends? In my area they'd tell you to go stay with friends if you let slip that you might have that option.

Well after a very trying day I'm off to bed! Went to the Drs to be told that the sec has given the form to the Dr (that I knew last Wednesday) but that the dr has not completed it yet and she's not back in til Wednesday again:mad: didn't realise she was part time:rolleyes: anyway the sec said short of standing over the dr she could only give her another message and suggests that I ring on Wednesday to speak to Dr and re-iterate just how urgent this is. Rang HLO to update her - she was gobsmacked to say the least, and said 'how long does it take to fill in a 2 page form?????'

Crisis Loan applied for and await answer. (Had to wait for removal co's quotes before able to apply)

Now rung 3 other 'cheaper' 2 men and a van removal companies for quotes and they are due to visit tomorrow and Wednesday.

Enquired about storage facility costs (should they be needed) FAR too expensive, so rang council and looked at 2 of the garages they have for rent (£8.45 per week compared to storage costs of £170 per week:eek: ), need to be organised should we go into temporary accomodation and our furniture need to be stored).

So much to do and no energy to pack, now b/f gone down with my cold so outlook for him helping me this week looks bleak:think: .

Anyway, had enough of today so off to bed, thanks for reading this if anyone does - love you all xx

    Hi Angel,

I asked that question and whilst it could be done, as I am relatively new to the surgery, it is best if this Dr completes the form as she has seen me more times about my depression and this situation.

Hi all, went out like a light last night until 5.15am then PING! awake and brain started racing again! Cold still in full force - think I may go back to bed for a while after I've taken children to school otherwise I don't know how I'll get through the day:confused:

  • Hi MOT, hope you're feeling better now. This has probably been suggested already, but can your local councillor or MP help? Hugs xx

Hi ssl, thanks for thoughts :T - yes have spoken with local councillor who is still trying to do what he can and the MP has written to the Chief Executive of the council on my behalf too - so just wait to see if they have been any help:confused: .

Its pouring with rain here today, got smaller removal companies coming today to quote as think others were far too expensive and doubt I'll get that kind of help from the public fund. Nothing much else I can do today (Dr not back til tomorrow) so going to do some packing again:eek: whilst blowing my nose every 5 mins:rotfl:

  • Fingers crossed....

As for the Drs, I might be inclined to take the kids with me and stage a protest until you get the form sorted. I cant believe that you are still waiting on the form!
