    Hi MOT
It sounds ok. I sincerely hope you now complain like hell to the practice manager about the delays ref this. They could have really stuffed up your homelessness claim, and the least you should get is a grovelling apology.

I hope the HLO comes through for you now. Was there any luck about the 3 bed property that your removal man spoke about? I have everything crossed for you (at least while I am sat down, would be a bit awkward to have my legs crossed when trying to cook the tea!)

MOT, just read the entire thread (not sure boss will be too pleased about that :o ) and can only applaud the way you have managed to keep going. You must run on duracell batteries!!

I think just about anything that could go wrong has gone wrong - totally unbelievable the number of obstacles that have been thrown at you.

Glad you've finally got the ball in "their" court and it definately seems that you've done all you can do. You must be totally drained. Tell I-T we have asked him to give you an extra big bearhug from all of us. You've done so well and struggled so hard to get here, but hopefully the wait will soon be over and you can have closure on this.

Does anyone know how long the process takes from here? For both the decision and rehousing?

Thoughts are with you MOT (DD & DS too)

    Hi Chev,

Thanks for crossing everything;) ! the house the removal man mentioned is empty (I went past it this morning) but is still down as occupied at the council - may be waiting cleaning, maintenance or such like.

I've just rung Drs to speak to Prac Mngr but she'd gone home so will call again in the morning and give her what for! (Thanks Floss;) ).

Hello George :A thank you for taking the time to read my thread! It has been an uphill struggle with a lot of brick walls having been met but fingers crossed we're getting somewhere now. If the decision is negative then I have to start all over again with an appeal to the Housing Division with the help of a CLS advisor - but yet again it would another fight:mad: and I don't know how much more fighting I have in me!!!!!!!!!

 Me thinks that perhaps Duracell should sponsor me:whistle:

  • If you have a son and a daughter, dont the council have to give you a 3 bedroom property? Thats what happened to a friend of mine who sold her house to pay off her debts.

PS A9??? You are all mad!! I hate that road!!

    Hi MOT

I have just finished reading through your entire thread and I am in awe! I think I've got problems?! I'm amazed you're still sane with everything you've been through! You are obviously made of stern stuff!

A similar thing happened to my OH (I won't bore you with the details) but at least he had somewhere to go when he got evicted, i.e. to move in with me!

Keep your chin up girl - it will get better! In the meantime, here's a hug because I think you need it. :grouphug:

Hi pigginskint:hello: thankfully I have a wonderful sense of humour - though I say so myself:o :rotfl: and as long I feel that I am not in this alone then I have amazed myself how I have coped!

Skintscotslass - where are you coming to in England next week?? It would be fantastic to meet you all - with or without boxing gloves (Floss:rotfl: ).

Maybe when I'm settled somewhere we could have a 'sleepover' as DD calls it:D

SSL - as the twins are over the age of 10 and boy/girl then yes, they do have to have their own rooms so we do need a 3 bedroomed property. I have applied for one this afternoon on the council's website but it was listed as Transfer applicants only so don't think I'll get that:confused: .

I have friends in Inverness, and they used to swear that the police only had 1 camera & would move it up & down the road!

It's a fantastic road...lovely scenery & it goes past lots of distilleries ;)

Announcement: Housewarming sleepover at MoT's new house!
(maybe we should have it virtually, then we can all fit in & be as loud as we want! We don't want to be upsetting the neighbours!)
