If you want to cook some meals on the hob try buying a steamer. They are £9 in Asda at the moment. You can cook 3 things including meat or fish in them and they don't take up much electric or gas. I cook 80% of my meals this way.

Hope you get your housing sorted out. I was also taken to court by my ex landlord as he wanted to sell up. I had somewhere else to move into lined up but the previous owner wasn't moving out until about 8 weeks after the eviction notice was served so I couldnt move in.

Because I had children he gave me extra time.

A friend of mine has been taken to court 3 times now. Her landlord also wants to sell the property. She has 5 children and has been given extra time 3 times by the court. The council say there are no vacant council houses in this town at present and over 100 families in the queue for one.

The kids and DD's friend had kedgeree for tea and absolutely loved it!!! In fact DD's friend had it for tea last night:rotfl: :rotfl:

Had a friend pop round tonight so having had a chat I feel bit brighter and am now off up the wooden hill to read my book.

Just back from Drs - she was very understanding particularly when I fell apart! Told her about panic attacks and she has prescribed betablockers. She said new Medical form from Council is very comprehensive but basically wants details of last 3 previous addresses - why?

How much more do I have to do to prove that the last 3+ years have been hell - coming out of a bad marriage, having to fight for any settlement, moving home twice in less than 4 months now moving again, financial shortfall, work problems this year - why does everything have to be such a fight all the time?

Did your Doc complete the form? If so, can you take it into your Homeless Officer & ask where she is up to now she has that? I'm sure she will want to make a decision on this soon, especially now she has LL on her back.

I've been watching this thread almost daily but not posted until now.

I just want to give you all big (((( hugs ))) and I'm keeping my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you and the kids in that you get sorted soon.

If you're near the size 14 mark I've got a pale blue 3/4 length coat - never wore it - brought it in the sales but my weight went up so never fitted. Typical.

Hope the Drs is sending in the form straight away or have you got it now to take down to the HLO.

Come on MOT, take a deep breath and relax, make a nice cup of tea/coffee/whatever and have a little bit of 'me' time. It's good that your Dr is treating your physical & mental wellbeing seriously and hopefully the betablockers will help you.
I know this seems to be taking a long time and I'm sure you just want to know one way or the other what will happen but try not to get too wound up about it.

Thanks Angel but I too have put on weight:eek: unfortunately I'm not one of those people who loses weight under stress - I gain it:D ! But thanks anyway, its sounds lovely and would have been much appreciated xx

Hi Floss, no Dr hadn't completed it yet but she said she would do asap. Meant to put that in my earlier message but was not thinking straight again!

Gforce - you were quite right, I actually took myself off to my neighbour for a coffee and she promptly whisked me off out to lunch which so nice of her:T

Meant to say that LL was at door this morning before I went to Drs asking for an update - so I told him that he probably knew more than me as he'd been speaking to HLO y'day. He replied 'well this has been going on too long, since January in fact' I must admit I stood up for myself and said that if he had done something about it sooner when I told him I was struggling then we wouldn't be in this situation now. He also went on again about me losing the children and not getting a council property.

what a bl**dy ar*e i would speak to the police about harrassment that isn't acceptable. I'm glad your neighbour took you out for lunch, I hope you've ignored the LL

Definitly contact the Police about the Ll and ask them to log the incident. Then report that fact to the HLO with the nuber of the Police Officer who took your complaint. Its a sad but true fact the more evidence and harrasement you are having the quicker they will be inclined to help you.
Plus the x?x?x?x? LL needs to be put in his place big time, and the Police are the right people for doing this. You have a right to live in peace whilst all this is sorted out. So contact them ASAP.

Thanks for advice about police! I have always been the sort of person who gets walked all over but you will be pleased to know that I have phoned police and officers are coming to see me tomorrow morning (wanted to do it when twins at school) and that my neighbour is going to be with me to act as a witness because she has been around when he has called.

Will email HLO and tell her whats happened too.
