Thank you for your lovely messages Anna and gforce - it was lovely to read them when I came online just now - really brightened my day which was certainly needed with all this rain - where is this Indian Summer:confused: .

Rang Drs I do have to wait for my Dr to fill out form so I have expressed its urgency so fingers crossed!

I have just been to see my friend's Mum for a coffee and her house is immaculate (like mine used to be;) ) and then I came back here to stacks of packing boxes, collapsed kitchen drawers and an oven that doesn't work:mad: - even if I wasn;t in this situation the LL wouldn't have fixed it in a hurry! Trying to think if some inspirational ideas for tea which can be cooked on the hob - we've done curry, spag bol and stirfry in the last few days - amazing how the kids want pizza so much now the oven doesn't work:rolleyes:! Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Got another removal co coming round at 1pm for a quote - and going to ring a 'man and his van' later to see how many journeys he would need to do to move my stuff and his charges which I hope will be a lot cheaper than the removal companies I've got quotes from so far:eek: .

Also got to apply for DS and DD's new schools for next September today!

It's certainly difficult trying to deal with 'normal' everyday things at times like this, but you're doing extremely well and it will come right in the end. :A

Thanks rog! It definately got to me yesterday - for years I was a housework fanatic but have been 'normal' since the twins were born:rotfl: but even even so I really don't like living in a mess - I know its a means to an end but when will it end I ask myself:think:

Oh if you're stuck for ideas try the old style board, I'm sure they'd be able to help you with some interesting recipes.
My OH got a nasty bout of food poisoning after eating reheated rice so I'm always a bit cautious about freezing rice.
At least the Dr will be back in tomorrow, hopefully he/she will get it filled out quickly. Will the Dr's fax it over the the housing office? Wouldn't want it delayed with the post strike.
