 i take it the council had robots at the hearing

i really can't believe that in this day and age and in this country they make that judgement. Would they have prefered her to starve her kids

:grouphug: hugs mot and the twins

I think we need to be careful with setting this sort of thing up on a forum. If anyone from the council is reading this, they can use it as evidence that MOT has external help to find a house, whereas if she doesn't on eviction day, they will have to again find her temp accommodation (B&B etc) because she has children.

sorry lamplady but this is not right. the authority will not have to accommodate her if she does not find alternative accommodation. There has not been a change in her material circumstances since her previous application for homelessness was dealt with and therefore they do not have to accept another one.

The Council has no legal obligation to house MoT now, as they have heard her appeal, made their decision & have already given her the correct notice on her tenancy.

Even if there is to be a County Court appeal, the Council do not have to house her.

Listen, those of you who have read all the thread will recall not so long ago that not all those who read MSE are nice (like us). The last thing MoT needs is for some non-MSE/DFW scumbag causing more problems with anybody or any organisations like the DSS OR EVEN THE COUNCIL.

So PLEASE, can we stop discussing the why's and how's of this until we know if it is going to be accepted?

I'm not trying to be a killjoy, I think it's a fantastic idea, but I do not want to see any problems being made by having things discussed on an OPEN FORUM.

Please can everybody take notice of this post......

We re both on the same track here floss2 although her solicitor can ask the court to order accommodation if she has a good case for appeal. they would have to act extremely quickly mind to avoid eviction on monday.

Floss2, so to sum up, Does anyone in authority have to re-house MOT, or is she literally homeless as from Monday, I am having real problems understanding in this day and age why someone won't help MOT and her twins.

If the solicitor decides to appeal on the point of law, would this entitle MOT to stay on a little longer, or does the original eviction date stand, I have tried reading through the thread again, but there is so much of it, I thought it easier to ask so I and others fully understand the implications of today.

floss, I might have missed something. Has MOT asked the council where she is supposed to go? Have they said where she is supposed to go.

So sorry to hear such bad news.

I would be reluctant to use paypal. Getting money into paypal is easy, getting it out can be a nightmare. It only takes one idiot to report to paypal that the account has been used for scamming or for soliciting doantions and paypal will limit the account. Getting access to the money is then a nightmare and could take months. Paypal's customer service is a joke. They are also registered outside the UK so don't come under the FSA regulations.

Could the twins dad be expected to provide a bond or guarantee for a rental deposit? Presumably he would like the twins to have somewhere secure to live?

Do we know if the solicitor has been asked about eviction procedures? Do Dacorum have to go to court to get an eviction order?

Any landlords in Dacorum reading this? With an empty property?

I am so shocked, if MOT can't be rehoused who does get housed. This is a serious question not a rant or a political point. Would it be easier for a refugee family? What is the criteria, they must surely have houses or flats, who does get them???
    Sincerely absolutely gutted.
