Congratulations! Page 100; can't let that pass without a little celebration and a big THANK YOU to everybody for their continuing support. :j :T Been up since 5 this morning; woke too early icon9.gif So I prepared a draft witness statement for MOT's solicitor. I spoke to her and she said we could prepare it over the phone but I felt happier preparing the draft myself. It will be emailed to her today then maybe we can finalise it over the phone. I thought it best this way otherwise I could be on the 'phone for hours.

You are all making me laugh with your little pecadillos'. :rotfl: Now I wonder what mine are?
Ahem..............dates added and email sent to solicitor 5 minutes ago:D

    Hi,

Just one other thing I am worried about. Nobody has yet picked on your ex's ability or non ability to contribute financially to housing his children. Didn't Social Services pick up on this?

I know he is not a nice man but he seems to see the children reguarly and has brought them a pile of Christmas presents.

It may be worth being aware that the authorities may start looking at him and what he can offer. CSA etc

Really hope this all works out for you. :j

Yes in principle, but in reality it may not be worth while for MoT to get any more maintenance as (correct me if i'm wrong) I understand that more than a certain amount (£15?) is deducted £ for £ from Income Support. Not sure how maintenance affects DLA though...maybe a CAB question MoT?

I truly am her 'partner' in love..... I am very happy in my home and MOT and I have always been in total agreement, that whilst we love being together, we also need our own space and independance having both been through unsatisfactory marriages.

I understand what you mean about needing space & independance after previous relationships - Me & DF were the same until last year, when I moved up to Blackpool....most parents change the locks when their kids leave home to start their own lives...I moved house :D And they didn't get a key until they came to visit :D

I agree it will probably not be worth it but the authorities won't see it that way. If they can make him pay money rather than them paying money that's they way they will want it and the more they can get him to pay the more they can get away with on all counts !

    hi mot
you probrly right you do have ocd but dont worry its no big thing david beckham has it to they only treat it these days if it really bad and your dosnt sound to bad from what you have said

to be honest im concerd that you are going to use the fact that you were suffering from a mental illness and thats why you didnt pay your rent as you have no evidence from the mental health teams to back this up at the time it all happened its only after it happened that the mental healh people have got involved and the way the councill will look at it is if you were that ill why wasnt you refered sooner your gp should of done this as standered when someone was presenting your illness to him im not saying that wasnt the reason just that the councill will need proff that this was the case before the will reconsdier

lets face it anyone can say they are mental ill and fool the councill and doctor into beliving this and many have done this im not saying you are just the councill are very cenical about everything espically when it comes to housing and like most things the people conning the system make it hard for the geniune people like your self to get the help you need i still dont see how you are going to win this one

you need more things like proff you wasnt getting enough income to pay the rent letter from the school to say that at the time they noiticed you were in server hardship at the time couldnt pay for trips ect a letter from your gp explaining why he didnt referer you to the mental health teams when you should of been i hope it gose ok for you good luck
i cant slow down i wont be waiting for you i cant stop now because im dancing
  • Hey there MOt and IT!
I haven't posted for a little while- but I've checked in regularly to see how you're doing.
Wow- that report is a big step forward. Hon, I'm so impressed at your bravery in posting it here. I know myself how hard it can be to admit that you're not all- singing- all- dancing SuperMum when depression hits (hence the outward appearance of coping just fine)- so that says to me that you're finding incredible inner strength to be able to admit it all.
Wouldn't that make some follow-up story for the paper if the HO stamps her foot and plays up???

You concentrate on having a really good family Christmas. Give those gorgeous twins a hug. Next year is going to belong to you - it's just the beginning of a new, brighter chapter in your lives.
Hang on in there sweetie- this too shall pass!

  • I tried to edit my post - but it won't let me (grrrr) am logged in & it says I can edit- but everytime I try to add something in it tells me I don't have permission!!!!

Darn it- I'll say it one way or another!

MOT- I'd just realised that we've hit the 2000 post mark! Doesn't that show you what a special lady you are to have everyone stick with you in this? We'll see it through with you, hon, no matter how long it takes.
Won't it be great to have all the celebrations taking us to next biggie post count?
