I hope so! I'm really disappointed with the LHO's behaviour, at the very least she should have asked you if you had any additional supporting evidence that could be resubmitted to the Dr.
The assessment is actually quite fair IMHO.Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -

The Dr hasn't made any assumptions on your mental health/capabilities based purely on your medication and treatment, has highlighted that the information provided is very limited, has acknowledged that depression may have limited your ability to cope with your tenancy and has advised that a more specialised report on your mental health at the time is required.
It seems to be fairly open minded, but I could be biased, lol. TBH 'fair' was probably the wrong word to use in this case, what I meant was the Dr was careful to point out the lack of information and their inability to give a decision based on the information provided.0 -

I wish I could give you some hope MOT but I just don't know. What should be happening and what is happening seem to be two very different things in your case.
I am very sorry that your application has not been handled the way it should have.0 -
All that 'Now Medical' have done is to give examples of how a patient may react to the symptoms, and medication prescribed, of depression, based on the limited information provided to them.
Without a full and personal examination, I fail to see how they could be qualified to make the comments that they have. I notice, possibly very cleverly on their part, that they have stopped short of giving a definite opinion/diagnosis, though how on earth they could give a 'Psychiatric Report' based purely on information supplied is beyond me. I notice that they charge an extra £20 for psychiatric reports and the 'cynic' in me is saying that this is just another example of how these 'companies' try to make even more cash out of their 'customers'.
I think that the case od 'Saunders v Hammersmith' as highlighted by teeni is becoming more and more relevant to your situation.
I wasn't around much yesterday, but I notice that more and more posters are suggesting that you take your case to the press - a view which I wholeheartedly agree with.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. Thanks Rog,
Do you think I would have a case to argue here that the LA should have gone further with their investigations then?Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -

Most definitely, mot. In fact a good lawyer would probably argue that they have been 'negligent' in their obligation to carry out a full and detailed examination of your case.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. Have a lovely weekend everyone - we're moving my outdoor plants from my old neighbours house today (they move away from evil LL on Tuesday too;) ) to my friends, then off to I-T's for some TLC and spicy shepherds pie (the twins favourite but they don't know yet!), wine and SCD:j . Then tomorrow to the theatre at lunchtime to see I-T in a play reading and after out for a good roast Sunday lunch:D .
Be on soon xxChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
I would say that the dr from now whatever was telling the LA that they needed to get a specialist psychiatric report. THE HLO just decided that she could read it her way, and therefore didn't get the report. So I would say that this is not good enough as others have said.
Glad you are going to have a nice weekend
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

That's how I read it,chev.
IMHO I would even go to say that NOW were advising that no decision should/could be made without further information & possibly a psychiatric report....so in theory, LA & HLO should have taken that advice & asked for further information, pushed for old-GP & chiropractor reports etc.
Have lovely weekend MOT & gang
Love Floss xx0
