I did mention my drug taking youth (and how much I enjoyed it)..I assume that has now just fallen off the edge of the internet .

but you've just mentioned it again... and i've quoted it..

i'm semi embaressed, but i'd rather have people know that at least i'm trying to bring my debts down, rather than making them worse!

With a daughter like that Jacks who cares about being poor. You have it made girl. Well done you.

    Cheers honeybun! :D

She is pretty good at standing up for what she believes in, and calling it as she sees it, which is very cool.

She's been SO sensible about all the economy measures, even when it's meant she can't have something she wants.

Of course it's not all sunshine and rainbows - being on the receiving end when she cops an attitude isn't much fun, but on the whole I reckon we must have done something right!

Hugs honey - you made my day  (and it's only 7:09am!)

    Love Jacks xxx :D

I just can't help liking you Jacks and it seems your daughter is a chip off the old block!

    LOL - even when I'm a cheeky mare??? ;)

I think my daughter must be like me. When she "goes into one" my Mum has a little chuckle and says "She get's that from you y'know."

I like that she's so honest - except when I ask her if these trousers make my bum look big and she replies "To be fair Mum....It's not the trousers." :o

    So I guess she's a cheeky mare too! :D

Jacks, your daughter is absolute QUALITY!!! She is a proper MSE girl already - u have obviously brought her up well! I hope her savviness (is that even a word?) rubs off on all her mates!

This post put a massive :D on my face!

    Excellent! :D

Thanks Sarah. It had the same effect on me when I was typing it out.

I was worried that she'd feel deprived and left out when we had to cut back, as most of her mates seem to want for nothing, but she'd decided that it's not cool to be spoiled and wasteful and take everything for granted - and being her mother's daughter ;) she doesn't hold back on expressing her opinion!

Cheers honey - you watch I'll probably be on here tomorrow saying what a nightmare she is! :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
I would be quite embarrassed if friends started reading my post, my side of the family wouldn't worry and would be quite proud but his side are very well off and his twitty brother is a total snob so i guess they would be quite horrified at our 'standard' of living (probably have childline on speed dial for ourkids)

tell me about it, OH is convinced im having an affair with martin now:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    :rotfl: that's so funny!

I'd hate it sooo much if people figured out it was me. So much so that I sometimes leave it a week or so before mentioning on here something that's happened. I don't even post that much, so I'm clearly being overly paranoid! The only person I've ever told about the site is my ex because I introduced him to matched betting. He's the only person that knows about my debts, but I wouldn't want him to read all about it here! I'm just ashamed of my debts really, feel like I'd lose people's respect if they found out. Silly really :o

  • I think that I have screwed up royally as to keep my anominity. I mentioned something very very specific on here, which can be googled to some other thing. Whislt it doesnt bother me anyone knowing I am up to ears in debt, there has been some very personal emotional stuff that I have posted on this board and in giving advice on the relationship board. I posted that stuff thinking no one could identity me and now I think someone who has it in for my OH can read all my most private thoughts!

I have thought about changing user names but I wouldnt want to establish myself again and do I want to fib to everyone on here- ahhh!!!

Im pretty open about finances with everyone i know, they're always asking me for hints etc, also a good excuse when people are inviting me out lol
  • My parents have had debt problems of their own (IVA). It was my mum who recommended the CCCS to me.

Both of my brothers use MSE regularly but they also know our situation.

OH's family I don't think are that computer savvy and have a don't care attitude when it comes to money.

They think we have cash but our excuse at the moment is that I'm on Maternity Leave and SMP is rubbish.

If they came on here they would be able to ID me from my avatar, but I'm not that bothered at least I'm doing something about it.
