Yes FrankRizzo using apple pay contactless you do get the cash back, obviously same rules has to be under £30. Im sure TSB actively mention apply pay in the terms and advertising, see below
Plus 5% cashback on your first £100 contactless, Apple Pay, or Android Pay payments each month
John
This is not the case if the terminal is set up to accept device verified contactless payments of an unlimited amount.0 -

I bought something today which came to exactly £30.00.
I tried it thinking i wouldn't be surprised if it failed but it went through no problem. Bloke was about to set it up for chip & PIN but thankfully asked if i wanted to pay contactless.
The limit is up to and including £30 (I checked with CS), but should you go just slightly over, have a £1 coin in your pocket, pay the £1 in cash then the contactless amount is within range.0 -

I did this at my local swimming pool, I bought some bulk swimming entries and I paid some cash and the £29.99 contactless.
The same thing I do, at Morrisons, if I go over the £30, but most of the time I use self service so I can split the shopping into <£30 piles.

I didn't know you could do contact-less at self-service tills! Useful.0 -

Here sainsburys & Asda don't have that option. Morrisons do. No idea about Tesco, Aldi etc.
Sainsbury's don't support contactless and Asda have it at a limited number of stores where I presume it works at the self-checkout. Tesco, Waitrose, M&S all support it at their self-checkouts.0 -
I've found the constant PIN checks on my TSB card very annoying, and probably will hardly use it after the 5% cashback offer ends. I don't think I've ever had a PIN check with my Smile card.0

My local Asda used to have this payment method a while but since about it a few months ago they remove this feature. Presumably this is also the case with other shops ??.
It's the opposite at my Asda. They never had contactless until about a month ago, when I went in one day and they'd started accepting it.0 -
In a way it will be more peaceful when all this palaver comes to an end on December 31st!0

My local Tesco has just taken on contactless, but not at ASDA, or Sainsburys, I shop mostly in Morrisons for their gift cards with my shopping and I then used to get fuel vouchers (which have now stopped) and then used to go and get fuel contactless on the way out, £100 spent most months this way.
Now I find its easier and no pin checks as I use Apple pay, and this has allowed me to use contactless to top up Greggs app, and Starbucks, I use both of these to make up the odd amount at the end of the month, then use the apps to buy coffee or a lunch.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards.
