Has anyone tried this in the lewisham branch? I went in today and they have a big display stand with signs advertising the 3 for 2, but I was too much of a wuss as i didn't have enough cash to pay if it had come up full price on the till..if not can anyone tell me if they've had it work where the offer is so prominently advertised? - oh, and there is no mention of them being half price either, so what are the chances?

Tried my chances in York again this afternoon. New large displays 3 for 2 offer and still no gift sets on display, so again asked assistant who brought out only the sets i requested, 3 x £14.99 pamper sets. All went through the till total £7.49 for 3 and £3 voucher, and 500 points.

I wonder if they have clicked about the sets, and are therefore trying to sell the abdundance of single items they have, because again staff say there are most of the sets in the store room.
So if you don't see what you're after , ask.
    How much ?????????!!!
  • Be careful everyone, I think they might have changed the tills.

I bought 3 Aroma Bears last week for £5.98 with a 10% voucher.

I thought that they were so cute and would make lovely prezzies for family newborns that I went back for 3 more this afternoon.

However there were only two on the shelf so asked if shop assistant would mind having a look out the back for another as they were on a 3 for 2. She came back with one more but on putting through the till said these are not on 3 for 2, so I took her to see the sighn that said all Little Me 3 for 2 and she said "I wish that they would set the tills up to do that then" (bear in mind they had worked last week). She said she would have to deduct the third manually and I said that would be fine - but with a 10% voucher I got 3 for 2 but only half price on 2 sets, making a grand total of £13.48.

I am quite happy with this as I've had some at the lower price and they are gorgeous little bears, but just wanted to warn others that the price might not come up at the price you think it will.

But if you want to still give it a go then go for it, it may have just been my transaction. :o

Hi all. I'd been reading this thread for a while now, so decided to try things out today. Went to Bluewater, there was only one LM pamper set on display, none of the other £9.99 ones, though loads of the single items. I asked a shop assistant if they had any in the stock room and she said there weren't anY. I didn't believe her, but what could I do? I scouted around the store for some polywrapped magazines (unwrapped ones were in the front of the store), found some and took 4 & removed the 10% vouchers. I also put my advantage card in the machine and got a voucher 75 points for a £10 spend. Then went to my local Boots in Gravesend which I had originally overlooked since the Bluewater one is loads bigger. Got 2 lots of 3 x £14.99 sets at £5.98 each, and one lot of 3 x £9.99 at £3.98 (used my discount voucher for each lot) The shop assistant was very polite, didn't raise her eyebrows at all at the discounts. Also got my 75 points added on to the 1500 points and got a £3 male grooming voucher. Not bad for a total spend of £16 less a few pence eh? Still have a voucher left, would use that before the offer ends! Thanks a bunch to the OP and all you wonderful MSEs who keep posting these fantastic deals.

This is exactly what happened to me earlier in the week. (see my post here about it: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=55299&page=27&pp=10 ) I don't think they have changed the tills nationwide cos since I posted lots of ppl have reported that they are still getting the sets for under £5. It seems to be luck of the draw :(
I took them back this week for refund. How good am i! :A

Whenever I've bought the LM sets, there was always a sign for 3 for 2, but nothing whatsoever about 1/2 price. Also, I've bought from the big displays with 3 for 2 like you described, and it did work then as well. So it should work for you (providing they haven't changed their tills...) Good luck! :)

Went out last night and was hit with 2 baby scans. 2 of my friends daughters are expecting their 1st babies, and one is having twins. So it was of to boots today for some little me gift sets. I chose the keepsakes ones, you know the ones with the first tooth, name tag and curl.
So there i am all 3 presents bought. today.
This is how my receipt went,
i bought 3 of the keepsakes gift sets and 3 colgate pump toothpastes (they are on 3 for 2)

Total cost came to £7.56 i used my 10% of voucher i also used a double points voucher, and i used a extra 75 points on a over £10 spend (out of the machine)
So i paid £7.56 for 3 gift sets and 3 pump toothpastes.

And got a total of 675 points.

Very pleased with this one as i have a use for all the gift sets and the toothpastes.

They have loads of the LM gift sets in prescott branch.

Tried at Silverlink Newcastle today, was told by male assistant that the boxsets were reduced (which they were'nt) asked for the manager, she said the14.99 sets were reduced to 7.50 each but she would give me 3 for 2, was'nt having that like, politely said thanks and walked away with boxsets and got more shopping. Haliborange fish oil capsules (3.99) are on 3 for 2 so took advantage of that, took all my purchases to till, no sign of manager, assistant yapping away just scanned everything through and my total bill came to 15.50. mucho happiness as I strolled out the shop. Also got my 3quid voucher. very happy. Dont take no for an answer!!
