Not sure i'd have the nerve to try this myself. It would be too embarrasing with the reciept being for so little or would you take it back without the reciept?

There-in lies the problem, you have to take in the receipt to claim a refund, however, they will exchange without a receipt normally.

I did clarify when purchasing that it would be fine to take some/all back if unsuitable & this was confirmed. just got me thinking about different scenerio's. The receipt's only really required as proof of purchase as the till should do everything else when items are scanned back in.

I guess if you were doing lots of other shopping at the same time as getting refunds, then any anomalies may go un-noticed by the cashier? I don't have any qualms about taking back 'excess stuff' but was planning to give them back as purchased, when I started wondering, what if?

Just been to my local Boots to give it a go.

    Got 2 x L/Me pamper sets and 1 x L/Me Aroma Bear. All at 14.99
Also got a pack of napies at 4.99 to make sure it went over the 10 pounds.

    3 for 2 saving 14.99
    3 x 7.50 - one for each of the l/Me items

    Total saving 37.49
    Price to pay 12.47

    Normal points 79
    Offer points 500
    Triple points 159

Do not understand how the points are calculated - Any ideas anyone?

I love these Boots schemes. Not quite as good at the Natural Collection last year, but good non the less.

They work the points out on 2 @ 14.99, less 7.50 each = £14.98 plus the nappies at £4.99 = £19.97. Multiply by 4% and take the whole number = 79 points.

Just got the toothbrushes from Boots, incredibles, 1 bright pink and one bright purple for £9.98

Then, whilst skipping out the door, decided to go and get some more !!

Bumped into an old friend and she bought some too. There are still loads left in Gloucester if anyone is local !! The sales assistants don`t say anything either !!

There almost out of little me sets, have left some !! Bears, pamper set etc..

Thanks. That sort of makes sense. It was throwing me that the "Triple Points" were not exactly twice as much as the normal points. I guess they must work them out from the price, rather than from the normal points awarded.

For the extra points, they multiply by 4%, then by 2, and THEN take the whole number, so it depends on the rounding whether it's exactly double or not.
