    Do all her friends also
    Have iPhones and iPads
Stay up till silly o'clock watching unsuitable TV programmes
Have sleepovers involving half the class
Have pierced noses/navels, fake tans and enough make up to keep Boots going strong.

Or any of the the other things your daughter will be telling
you her friends are allowed to do throughout her teenage years.

Good luck - you're going to need it.

I've tried buying her proper school shoes she just refuses to wear them

Then let her go to school in bare feet.

Unless you are taking a lot of care to buy her shoes that fit well I am not surprised. I need to try on loads before I find a pair the same shape as my feet, and did at 12 too.

Really??? let's hope her friends don't do drugs, send nude selfies, or sleep around because by the same rules you'll allow that too.

    I despair.

Maybe try acting like her parent and refusing to let her have what she wants makes a valuable life lesson.

What will she do when she's older and has to follow a dress code at work?
