I would not let her wear them if she was braking the school rules but she isn't braking the school rules

Perhaps if you'd gone to school yourself you'd know how to spell break.

But, but but, if she gets a job in Primark she can buy chav boots with her staff discount.

Are Primark employees allowed to wear their "Ugg" boots on the shopfloor? Probably not.

Probably not, they usually look pretty smart in there!

How sad. If as the OP suggests, "blazers and ties are unnecessary", what will happen when these school children end up in the workplace? When the OP goes to the bank, do the staff wear polo shirts and Ugg boots?

IMHO one part of the wearing of a smart school uniform is to show youngsters that in certain positions, you are expected to dress smartly, apart from the sense of shared identity. As a teacher (p/t just about to go to work!), if any student of mine turned up in Ugg-style boots, I would ask them to wear correct footwear. Does the OP not realise that failing to provide appropriate footwear is a form of neglect?
U could not work at my kids school then you would refuse to teach over half of the students there even though there not breaking the schools uniform policy

It's a high achieving school over 85% of students achieve atleast all Cs or above at GCSEs level

Only 85percent? Hmmm so not that high. Employment at primark achievable but maybe not at Principles

It's the best performing school in the area better performing than the school nearby that's obsessed with its uniform policy
