  • Thanks guys:hello:

I had a really nice brunch with my friend sitting outside under the trellis looking out over the estuary. I paid this week - £16.75. Lovely weather but I didn't go for my really long walk! It was quite hot when we finished so friend and I had a mooch around the shops for a bit then I went home to the ironing. I did it watching Hitchcock's "Rear Window" which I hadn't seen for a while and made the dreaded chore pass a lot quicker!

I ordered a pair of new shoes for work from Marisota this afternoon - which Is a need and not a want! I had a discount code so got 20% off. Black patent court with a kitten heel. Bit Theresa Mayish but will do for work and only worked out at £21 with delivery.

Anyway have got my lunch ready to take to work tomorrow. Can't believe the weekend has disappeared. :(

    Have a good week everyone.

Glad you had a lovely lunch, the weather is fab isn't it. Rear Window is a great film, did they remake it a while ago, I can't remember? The originals are always the best.

    Shoes were a bargain :)

    Have a fab week xx
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I love Rear Window. We watched Charade this morning with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant which we enjoyed. North By North West is another one of my favourites.

Your brunch and shop mooching sounds really good.

You OH isn't also on statins is he? I know they often go hand in hand with blood pressure meds. One of the known side effects is the swollen ankles & another is rashes.

@badmemory Did you mean me? Yes my DH is on statins. I'm going to try and get him an appointment later today as his legs feel so heavy and uncomfortable and it's tiring him out.

Hope you have a good day today SSG..

    .

Yes sorry I forgot where I was posting. Re the statins - I've only known 3 people start to take them and all 3 had to stop because of the side effects.

Yes I hope DH can be given something different.

I think they remade 'Rear Window' some years ago with Christopher Reeve SA, although I haven't seen that version.

I love North By Northwest as well Hairy. I have "Spellbound" to watch at the weekend!

Today was work - boo! Boss was back so had quite a bit to go through with him. Only spent £4.90 on Monday coffees for my friend and me so a low spend day. Birthday cards to buy tomorrow for September.

I've moved last weeks leftover spends to Ad hoc Savings and the figure has been adjusted. I'm going to have to put any spare cash into here religiously as it's going to have to be used for the flat renovations when they start.

Anyway - enjoy the rest of the evening everyone.

I am useless at remember any films I have watched !

Is there a limit to the cost of your contribution to the renovations or does everyone pay the same ?
