Hi all! I'm trying not to think too much of what happens once all this madness is over - from what I've been reading, lots of us on this board are just taking it one day at a time.I got up this morning and finally went for an early walk - it was still a bit overcast when I went out. Not many about though. The weather was lovely later but I preferred my morning walk as I thought more people would be out later.Anyway I did the housework, washed and dried the towels, flannels, tea towels and nightie. I also cleaned the fridge and made a Thai green curry for dinner with a jar of curry sauce I've had for a while. And spent some time speaking to one of my cousins and also DD as I didn't get to speak to her last night. My cousin and her husband are planning to downsize now that they're retired, but unfortunately the construction on their new build home has stopped due to the CV. ☹️Swapped the radio station today and got into Classic Rock!🎸🎸🎸🎸SCRIMPY MSE THINGS

Sounds like your very much adjusting to your new wfh life SSG. Not sure I could bear to go back to the office if I was wfh. Time will tell as if this lot carries on no one knows what they will be doing next week let alone next month.
All this talk of mascara being a must have - I gave up on make up when being a woman of a certain age began all the hot flushes kept making makeup run down me face. Must say I've embraced the natural look ever since and feel much better for it. Give it a go girls. I still indulge on a facial once a month (well I did before lock down) which keeps my skin nice and rosy.Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

Hi @brizzlegirl - nice to hear from you and thanks for popping by! 👋
Thanks @moving_forward. The WFH is working out ok so far although I do wish I had a proper desk/chair/monitors. I'm not sure I could work for months like this. Although it goes without saying I do not miss the commute one iota!Re make-up - I put on a 'full face' when at the office and when I'm out socially - since WFH I just wear face powder and lippy when going to the supermarket and nothing when I'm out for walk! That would have been unheard of a few years ago!😱. However I have made a concerted effort to keep up the beauty routines that I can do myself, i.e. de-fuzzing, all over body moisturising (using my lush Jo Malone body cream instead of keeping it for 'best') cuticle creaming, etc. I'm also going to put on a face mask this evening along with a hair mask (thanks to @Sun_Addict reminding me of this on her diary).I went out for my constitutional this morning around 9.30. The weather was gorgeous and I had a good hilly walk looking down on the estuary which was beautifully blue! When I got back I took the FB bags over to the church. The Minister told me that he knew of a one family of parents and a seven and one year old all living in one room. And he said his daughter who is a social worker was dealing with increased cases of domestic abuse and child neglect with a much depleted staff. Truly awful and made me doubly thankful for my blessings today. 😞
Today I will be changing the bedclothes, sorting out the food cupboards and washing the sofa cushion covers.Funny story of the day - was listening earlier to Jason Manford on Classic Rock who was asking 'What good deed did you try to do that backfired?' One woman saw a hedgehog in the middle of the road that she thought was injured. She stopped her car (generating a bit of a traffic backlog) to investigate. When she got there it was a broom head not a hedgehog! She was so embarrassed that she tenderly picked up the broom head, cradlied it in her arms, stuck it on her back seat and drove away!🤣🤣🤣🤣

I passed our little hardware store in my walk today who was just opening up and bought some white vinegar spray - £3.90. I've also followed @doingitanyway on her diary and have bought some Bose noise cancelling headphones from John Lewis - bit of an expensive purchase at £299 but they were reduced by £50 and I feel will be a good help in WFH.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Think I will be suggesting noise cancelling headphones to our customers next week.Just come back from my walk which takes me past a farm, stopped to watch the horses being exercised round the yard . I keep seeing the same people when I am out and stopped for a 2 metre chat with a lady for a couple of minutes as we see each other everyday. There was a big queue at the Tesco Express , maybe people barbecuing.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

We are lucjy so far no queues at our little tesco. Big sainsbirys however was huge but it moved quickly and I managed to get 3 bags of compost which was a prized purchase.Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

Is the lady upstairs still singing SSG? 😂 I'm sure the headphones will be a very good buy.
I feel so sorry for that poor family in one room. It would be awful enough normally but unbearable in this lockdown 😥. I'm glad you were able to take some food to the FB .
The views on your walk sound lovely 🙂. I do hope they don't ban exercise because of a few selfish morons. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
