Have a good day.  You must be really missing your theatre and meals out.  We've just got to try and make the best of all this and hope that we remain well.

Thanks @Sun_Addict  The next theatre trips were booked for mid April so yes I will be thinking of them when the time comes.   I really do miss meeting up with my friends though - my local friends are all pretty much self-isolating at the moment. One who has diabetes has been marched round to live with her daughter and family as her DD said my friend cannot be trusted not to sneak out!  You've got to laugh!  Luckily her DD has a large house and a lovely big garden - my friend is very happy there as she lives on the tenth floor of a block of flats with no balcony and can connect better with her grandchildren  though the family  will be self distancing.

Luckily the rest of my friends have family living near.   I miss meeting up with DSis although we speak mostly each day. Her OH is self isolating due to asthma problems though WFH is in full swing. She said the hardest thing is keeping little nephew occupied and home teaching him. He is a bundle of energy and never seems to need much sleep!

I speak with DD each day too - she lives miles away so our get togethers tend to be sporadic anyway, but it's the thought of not knowing when I can see her again that is the worst.  I've  had to cancel my weekend with her next month. 😞  I'm so glad we got to go away on the cruise last month.

But as you point out we must keep plodding on (in beanie's words) and be grateful that we're all well.X

Pretty sure you are entitled to a refund under the circumstances. You can then rebook as and when. What did they say? Glad you are managing WFH so well.

  • Your plans for Saturday sounded good SSG, I hope you enjoyed it :).

Missing family is the worst I think :(. I'm very sad that DS3 isn't coming home this weekend for a whole month as I haven't seen him since Christmas :(. But he has agreed to regular video chats.

Hi @doingitanyway. DSis booked the April shows. She has had a full refund on one show and is waiting to hear on the other.  I've checked about the November concert. It's at our local theatre who are posting daily lists on their website of what's been cancelled and what's been rescheduled. If it's been cancelled you get a voucher for the full amount for a future event. My concert hasn't appeared on either list yet so I'll check each day.   I haven't heard about the musical I booked for me and DSis in July so will hang on here.

I've also cancelled my rail tickets next month for my trip to DD and will get a full refund.  Re, our easyJet flight tickets for Whitsun to Scotland , easyJet are letting you cancel for free and rebook again up to Feb 2021. They're not refunding - as our other airlines and package holidays.

I've been trying to get through to The Times phone-line to demote my subscription from print copy and digital to just digital as I'm not buying a paper now I'm not commuting, but they keep amending their call times so I'll have to try again tomorrow.

Hi @HairyHandofDartmoor - I'm so sorry that you're not seeing DS3 - I know how much you love it when he comes home. 😞

Today I did the usual Saturday housework and also gave the bathroom a good steam clean. I ended up making a lentil chilli as I really fancied one and had that for dinner with enough for another couple of meals.   I did some laundry - towels and tea towels today.  Clothes wise I don't seem to have so much laundry now as I'm making my leggings and tops make do for a couple of days. I've also been sticking to dark clothes and underwear so I'll only have one weekly clothes wash to worry about!😁 Should save on the electric here but alas I'm using my slimline dishwasher more!

I left my walk till late afternoon - slightly more people around but everyone was being sensible about distancing.  It was nice to get out though cloudy and chiller than it has been this week

Have a good evening all!  And don't forget to put the clocks forward!🕰

Hello, just catching up with your diary. It's the first time I've logged on in a few weeks, everything is so up in the air. Lovely that you can work from home though, and keep some routine. Take care xx
