Thanks guys!:hello:
I got it wrong - im not actually in Snowdonia - I'm roughly near the coast between the south of Snowdonia National Park and Aberystwyth! Beautiful restaurant with rooms and wonderful tasting menu. Quite young 'hipster' type chefs and staff - plus one acting as DJ so good music. Over coffee DD requested Pimk Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon for me. Went down very well with some of the - ahem - older clientele!:D
I'm quite full of food and drink so will toddle off to bed now.
Inod - the gift wrapping was accompanied by Christmas iPod and tipple ad usual!:D. This year though it was the vegan almond Baileys and M&S's vegan version - chocolate and coconut - the M&S version was much cheaper - £8 versus £20!

Thanks all!:)
We had a good run back to DD's and OH's after breakfast and made a little detour to drive through beautiful Snowdonia - the sun came out in places and the snow on top of some of the peaks looked glorious. Weather was generally good with no rain till we got near home.
Spends today we're £26.10 in the motorway Pret. We stopped off for a lateish lunch as we had a biggish breakfast so I bought the lunch as DD and OH had treated me to my overnight stay. Although it's annoying at these motorway stop-offs how the prices are so much dearer compared to high street branches.
DD and OH have popped out to the supermarket to top up on supplies so a nice evening watching the box next to the wood burner is on the cards once we have had dinner. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

The road through Snowdonia is one of my favourites. When I was very ill a few years back we used to just go out for rides as I couldn’t do much more - I remember the sun on the mountains as we rounded the bend - we’ve done that run regularly since but nothing quite compares to that day with the sun. I’m lucky that we can have a lovely day out around there, from here. I love the area. I’ve never done any adventurous walking or climbing but often go short walks in the flat areas nearby admiring the scenery.
I’m with you about the motorway services ripping us off. Although they have got a lot better than they used to be. Still a lot pricier than the high street stores though.
Enjoy your weekend.January spends - £587.580 -
It was a great drive milann. We stopped at Betws-y-coed for a coffee/loo/stretch your legs break - lovely little place.
Today DD and I slept in (OH is always up with the lark). We all ended up going into town and had lunch at very nice vegan cafe. DD and I had a really tasty pie made up of mushrooms/squash which had delicious gravy, together with roast tattles and veg. Pastry was v. Good too. Carrot and walnut cake for dessert - yum!:D I paid for lunch - £46.40 for three - two courses each with coffees. So not too bad in the scheme of things.
We then had a mooch as DD had a couple of things to get.
Alas though! I'm afraid that the Betty's Fat Rascals are now off the menu girls as they're not vegan!:(. Actually most of the things are off the menu at Betty's now although they have developed a vegan afternoon tea!:)
Other spend today was £20 to DSis's account for little nephew spending money as they're off to Lapland to see Father Christmas next week!:xmastree::snow_grinFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

So - last day at DD's today and it's the beginning of:-
SCRIMPY WEEK 4 - DECEMBER
I did have £50 Ad Hoc spends this week but my good 'dress' watch needed a new battery. I brought it up here as there is a local watch repair place that was able to put a battery in my day watch after the manufacturer had said they couldn't do it because it was too old! So they were able to sort out my dress watch. It was £45 with the resealing as well so this pretty much wiped out the £50!:(
Anyway I sorted that out this morning and then DD and I went over to one of the retail parks as she wanted to look around John Lewis at some kitchen bits. I found a beautiful cushion there - the sort that I have been looking for ages. I've still got some cash from the PPI money that I allocated for 'home' so Happy Christmas To Me!:D
We had a bite to eat in Nero's then came home.
Her OH's DS1 and his partner popped over this evening. His partner is expecting their first in about eight weeks but she looked wonderfully well and is doing great!:)
I'm on the early train back tomorrow morning. I was originally going straight into work but as I had some holiday I booked the whole day off. At least I should be home by midday at the latest.
