I loved, loved, loved Downton SG2! A colleague said to me on Friday, why are you going to watch a Sunday night TV programme on the big screen? Well, I told him this morning that Downton was fabulous on the big screen! Beautiful locations and clothes and a good Downton story to keep me enthralled! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

New week!
I received a magnificent £2.50 from the dress agency on Saturday!:) Ad hoc spends were £2 to the Big Issue and a film download (The White Crow) - £3.49. Budgeted spends were fruit and veg and food bank. Plus yesterday I walked to Aldi to pick up some food bits for the week - got all the way over there and found it closed due to renovation works! Which is annoying as I had to end up going to the Co-op and paying more than I had envisaged! Still it was a glorious day for a walk and I covered my half an hour!
SERIOUS SEPTEMBER - DAY 11-12
· 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – Went over the 1,500 mark but it was the weekend! I had a Green & Blacks chocolate bar - my first chocolate since I started the diet apart from two little chocs in work during the week. It tasted soooo good! But I'm not worrying - I enjoyed it and at least I haven't bought any cakes or biscuits.
. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Elnora has given me - All covered here!
· . Drink six glasses of water per day – OK on Saturday - failed yesterday.
· Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – Saturday night didn't count, but I wasn't very good last night so a fail here.
. Eating down from the freezer - Liver, bacon and onions were really nice. I've got some chicken thighs to use up for next weekend - I think I'll do a traybake.
Tonight I've got to measure the gap between my bed and the floor. I keep my suitcases under the bed and they are used to store my out of season clothes and shoes, plus some of the clothes that don't fit me (yet!:D). I need to measure it to make sure that the new big suitcase I want to buy will fit under there. If I know it can, then I will order it.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks redo - I always lose quite a bit when I first diet. Unfortunately, I always seem to pile it back on again! I'm really going to try this time - the fact that DD has paid out for the pony trek should help quite a bit this time - I don't want her to waste her money! I must say though I feel that I'm walking quicker. It will be interesting tonight on my way home from the station when I walk up the vertical hill and see if it feels any easier. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

END OF SCRIMPY WEEK 3 - SEPTEMBER (which was on Tuesday)
Spent from Ad Hoc of £28.75 this week:-
- £7.98– film downloads from Itunes;
- £2 – Big Issue
- £6.99 – Kindle download – book on plant based diet which I'm finding very interesting.
So £11.98 left, plus £2.50 from dress agency and £14.48 from Topcashback = £28.76 to Ad Hoc Savings.
SCRIMPY WEEK 4 - SEPTEMBER
£40.77 Ad Hoc Spends this week.
I've spent £240 this week on new glasses! My actual reading/PC prescription hasn't changed but I've damaged one arm on the frames and Boots said they can't repair it properly. So I've ordered the same frames as they can insert my current lenses into them. However, I need new mid-distance glasses (for watching TV) and I've ordered a new pair. Boots do not give away hardly any Advantage points at their opticians – I only received £2.50 in points total! However, because I'm a member of the Advantage Over 60's Club, I received a £30 refund on the total!
The cost is going to come out of the Ad Hoc Savings. And guess what new YNAB category is being set up next payday!
Yesterday I decided to buy a Blood Pressure Monitor as I want to keep a regular eye on it. £49.99 from Amazon (Ad Hoc Savings). You can get cheaper models but this had positive reviews as it has a rather good cuff that makes sure you get an accurate reading.
Today's Ad Hoc Spends was £1 to RAF Charity at the station this morning.
One of the guys on our desk receives invitations to Jo Malone special events as he's such a good customer. So today he took my friend (his PA), me, his assistant and his daughter to our local Jo Malone as they were showcasing their new fragrance. We each had a glass of bubbly, chocolates and a lovely hand and lower arm massage with the new and other fragrances. Lovely! I actually bought an early Xmas pressie there for DD – their lip balm which she loves - £20 (from Christmas budget) and all wrapped up beautifully ready for Xmas!
I've still got to buy the suitcase! Must order this tonight!
SERIOUS SEPTEMBER – DAYS 13-16
· 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – Have been good – may have gone over the 1,500 cals slightly on one day.
. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Elnora has given me - All covered here walking wise through work walks! Could be better on the stretches!!
· . Drink six glasses of water per day – Mixed results here – I'd say half and half!.
· Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – Again mixed – one night I was in bed at 9.30pm - other times after midnight!
. Eating down from the freezer – Will get out the chicken thighs tomorrow for the traybake!.
