  • Friday at last!:j Then two whole days off work!:)

I've booked my yearly eye test with Boots today - I definitely need some new glasses - at least the eye test is free now I'm over 60! A new budget pot for YNAB will be created for glasses!

Talking about YNAB - there is a function on it called 'Tracking' where you can load on your Assets and Liabilities, i.e. any investments, mortgages etc. I've never bothered using this before but I've now set up Tracking categories for my assets, i.e. Stocks/Shares ISA, Premium Bonds, gold, DCB work pension and value of flat. I'll update this each month on payday as the ISA, gold, pension and flat values will fluctuate. I get a rough estimate of the value of the flat each month via Zoopla.

    SERIOUS SEPTEMBER - DAYS 6-9

    · 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – On Monday I had the big sub-roll, plus I ended up eating a bit more in the evening than the fruit I planned on.:( But Tuesday and yesterday were 500 cal days (it's amazing how good raw carrots taste in the evening when you need something low cal to munch! I also find myself scraping out every last bit of soup from the tin like I'm never going to be fed again.:(). Wednesday was 1500 cals and went ok.

. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Elnora has given me - Walked quite a bit on Monday on my day out - stoppped and started but covered a lot of ground. Walking to and from work has gone as usual. Stretches complete fail!:(

    · . Drink six glasses of water per day – All ok here except yesterday.

    · Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – Fail here as well!

. Eating down from the freezer - I'll be using up the lambs liver in the freezer this weekend. Old-school I think with bacon and onions plus mash! Yum!:)

    A whole two weeks! I'm green!
I love lambs liver but only if I don’t see it raw

It is a bit jellified isn't it! :). I've never been squeamish about raw meat - including hearts, kidneys, etc. Watched my mum preparing them as a kid and when first married and hard up I used to cook more offal than I do now (apart from kidneys - never been keen on them - used to use big mushrooms instead for a faux 'steak and kidney' pie.).

  • Saturday - yippee!

Budgeted spends yesterday was £3.55 on Starbucks coffee pods from Sainsburys near work as I thought I had a box of Aldi pods in work but found I didn't! So I've spent an extra £2.06 on pods because I could have been more organised! And they didn't even taste any better!

Ad Hoc spends last night was £4.49 on film download - Red Joan with Judi Dench, which I enjoyed. And I've just finished watching the series 'The Loudest Voice' starring Russell Crowe on Sky. Absolutely brilliant!

...and I lost a whole 5lbs this week when I weighed in this morning to bring the month's total loss to 1 stone 2lb!:j:j:j

So the diet plan is working!:j

Today I'm out this afternoon to buy my fruit and veg, food bank donation, and check if I've anything to come back via the dress agency.
