I'm just waiting for DD and OH to get back from boot camp. She's just called to say plans have changed today - Ellie Goulding is getting married in Minster today and city centre is going to be mobbed - rumours of Kate and Will attending, etc.

So we're off for a run out in the Dales - quite looking forward to this. Mooch in town will now take place on Monday!:)

Any eating regime has to be flexible to your lifestyle or it won't work. Things like meals out etc happen and we need to be able to factor these in or we'll be miserable. Enjoy the meal, you can cut back afterwards.

Have you tried the cold water tea infusions as a way of drinking more water? I put one in my water bottle and it makes it less boring and I drink more.

That's an idea SA. I hate tea - the smell of it makes me heave, which includes most herbal teas apart from the fruit sort as the teaness doesn't come through - if you know what I mean! I could try it with one of these.

    END OF THE PLAN

Oh dear! Massive fail here on everything! We drove over to a lovely village yesterday afternoon and I was treated to scrumptious Yorkshire rarebit with bacon on toast! Plus two flat whites. We had a mooch around - I don't think the walking counted as it was an intermittent mooch-walk pace! I put £5 towards DD's bill in the butchers there and also bought a gorgeous cushion depicting boxing hares for their Scottish abode as a gift - £28 - but I don't think of this as wasting money really as they are so generous to me.

And the meal in the evening was wonderful - tasting menu at a new swanky country manor type place - I won't even try and calculate the calories - tiny plates but quite a few of them and very rich! Plus some very nice wine.

So that's the end of the Plan for August - Im very pleased with how things have gone and am going to push yesterday under the carpet!:D

I'm having a think about September's goals - it's definitely going to involve food and calories but I'm not going to officially start it till Tuesday when I'm travelling back.

Off later for more food - lip-smacking Sunday roast place.......:rotfl:

A food comatose SSG signing off for now.....

  • It all sounds delicious to me SSg life is for living.

I’m with you on the tea can’t stand it. My Essex family find it hilarious. Every time I go round my parents my dad asks me if I want a cup of tea, I’m 54! He doesn’t get it, being a Londoner it just blurts out automatically :rotfl: I too gag, I think I must be allergic to it. Can’t stand herbal stuff either. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.

I actually don't like tea either (the normal black tea) but like herbal and fruit teas. DS gave me a free sample of the cold infusion fruit tea bags and I was a bit sceptical but they taste just like diluted squash nothing like tea. I drink black coffee for a hot drink.

I think you've done really well so don't let a few days off plan make you think you've failed. You can get straight back on it next week. Enjoy your lovely meals out :)
