No problem - glad to help. The article doesn’t include ankle exercises but I hope the foot exercises help.

I found the article in Prima magazine. This isn’t the entire article, just the exercises but it mentioned bunions and shoe shopping if you’re interested, although it doesn’t say a great deal.

Thank you so much Elnora for the exercises and taking the time to type them out - although I had trouble with the "Arch Enemies" exercise too - I just could not work out how I could contract my arches without screwing up my toes or moving my heels! Obviously one to work one! The final balance exercise is a good one - I've been meaning to do this for a while as I find my balance isn't as great as it used to be!

All looking good SSG.

I'm still using the original YNAB, the one where you just bought it as a one-off and there's no subscription. YNAB4 I think, and I bought it November 2014 according to my PC. They withdrew ongoing support years ago but mine still works perfectly and I love it.

I started using YNAB not long after I started my first diary on here so - 2016. I bought it through what looked like a games site because the annual sub was on special offer. I always had to log on to this site to access it. Then YNAB changed its structure and I went direct though them. I really don't know why I'm still on such a low annual sub compared to what YNAB are advertising. The version I have looks exactly the same as on their site!

Intriguing! I think you need to tell us more about chair yoga and spiky balls!

Chair yoga is great:)
Especially for those who are more limited/recovering from surgery.
WE do excercises with small spiky balls on our feet and also to do massage on our hips and upper thighs!

Alas my knees are too painful at the moment to get down on the floor for the usual yoga/pilates type exercise so chair yoga sounds quite do-able.............!:D

Just catching up...so so so pleased at your PPI refund!!! Its excellent news. Well done you xxxx

Like the egg wrap idea. May well try that :) thanks xx
Still doing well with your health plan I see :)
Hope you are enjoying your BH weekend.

Thank you both! All kudos to redo for the egg wrap!

Days 9 and 10 of the Plan

-
Zero alcohol- OK

- 1500 calories for five days, 500 calories for two days (to include 5 x fruit and veg and just one sweet treat on the 1500 days – Passed on Day 9 – on Day 10 (yesterday) I had brunch out so instead of my usual Full English, I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg on one slice of thick crusty granary plus two flat whites. In the evening I had a large salad with some feta cheese and reduced dressing, plus frozen berries and 0% yoghurt and drizzle of honey. I may have gone over the 1,500 cals here, but hopefully not by much.

- Six glasses of water per day – Guzzled down lots of water owing to heat so a good pass here!

- Step up the walking pace Went for 40 min walk on Day 9 in the evening. I did quarter of an hour each way to the brunch place, but I felt it too hot to go out again in the evening.

- Go to bed at a reasonable hour – OK on Day 9 but failed last night!

- No money wasting. Balance YNAB daily – budgeted spends included £15 for brunch, £20 to DSis's nephew's birthday present, £20 to DSis for flowers for my Mum and Dad's grave, plus I spent bought some fruit and veg in mini-Tesco yesterday to keep me going until I go away on Friday.

Back at work today (boo hoo!), but thankfully in an air-conditioned office. Today I spent £5.10 budgeted in Pret for weekly coffees with friend.

Quiet here in work today– boss not back from hols till next week. Looking forward to the new series of Bake Off tonight – I know how to live! :D

Sounds like the new plan is working for you :T
:rotfl:I’ve been reading with interest and trying to lift my arches without using my toes - wonder how many others have. :rotfl:
You have made me remember a balance board I have to strengthen my ankles - must get it out again from under my sideboard and dust it down. I need to do something.
Hope you enjoyed your air conditioned office today. It’s clouded over here and very muggy - need a storm to clear the air.
January spends - £587.58

I can answer your YNAB price question - the price you pay is the one when you subscribe. I subscribed when it was $50 so that is what I pay each year. A new user would pay the $83.99.

Hi c97m - Thanks very much for clearing up the question of the YNAB subscription – I've been worried that I should be paying more and that they will hit me with a bill!

Days 11 and 12 of the Plan

- Zero alcohol- OK

- 1500 calories for five days, 500 calories for two days (to include 5 x fruit and veg and just one sweet treat on the 1500 days – Passed on both days – one was a 500 cal day.

- Six glasses of water per day – Managed this – using nice new water bottle in work!

- Step up the walking pace – Just about passing – have been doing my work walks and trying to walk a bit faster. I like to think that because I have the almost vertical hill to climb each evening when walking back from the station, this gives me more exercise kudos!

- Go to bed at a reasonable hour – Failed on both evenings!

- No money wasting. Balance YNAB daily – all I've spent the last two days is £27 budgeted spends for my nails.

Tonight I'm off to DD's for a long weekend – so really looking forward to this – she's cooking one of her lovely curries for dinner!

AND FINALLY - MOAN OF THE DAY……………..

…..oh what a surprise – this relates to my PPI payout and the fact that my cheque has not been processed! I decided to ring up the company yesterday to check on progress – it was supposed to arrive by tomorrow at the latest according to the letter they sent me. I finally got through to them and was told because of the high level of people claiming at the last minute before the deadline, quite a number of cheques haven't been processed because of the backlog – which includes mine! Apparently because they have missed the 31 August deadline that they gave me, they have now got to 'recalculate the interest.' I told her that I had already waited over six weeks from the time they confirmed they were calculating the interest till they sent me my confirmation letter and would like them to process my cheque now and they could recalculate the other bit I would be owed! 'Oh no I'm not able to raise a cheque', she said, ' it would 'probably' done next week.' I said I wasn't happy with 'probably' and that I also worked for a financial institution and we had the systems to calculate interest extremely quickly and couldn't work out why it took them so long. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, but surprise, surprise, none were available! She said she would put a request in for someone to call me tomorrow – I said ok, but I wouldn't be holding my breath!

I am going to write with a complaint, Although it’s laughable as the section dealing with all this is the customer complaints department! What annoys me the most is that they obviously knew they couldn't handle the backlog so why not at least drop a line, email or text explaining. They have all my details! No wonder they got fined over £100m.!

Anyway – rant over for now!
