BEGINNING OF SCRIMPY WEEK 2 – SEPTEMBER (which began yesterday)
£40.77 Ad Hoc spends this week.
Spent a bit on budgeted spends yesterday – DD and I went into town for our mooch – I bought brunch which was bircher muesli and flat whites for two - £16.50 with tip. In Boots I bought some more hair fibres and another of the Maybelline lip crayons – in nude this time – both came to £29.98. We finished up in the fat rascal cafe which DD paid for – I bought a couple of bits there to take away, including my fat rascal – came to £15[/.
So today I caught the early train back to London and I'm now in work. I got a free cooked breakfast and coffees on the train, but have bought a Pret tuna salad for lunch - £3.99– which is coming out of Ad Hoc spends.
It was also a bit embarrassing on the train this morning as when they checked the tickets it transpired that my Senior Railcard had expired on Sunday! I didn't even think of it – I had it in the back of my head somewhere that it expired in October, but this is my actual season ticket. So I was let off, my card taken away, and I've got to buy a new one!
SERIOUS SEPTEMBER (title courtesy of Dolphin1)
Targets are:-
· 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – My cruise next year begins in the third week of February and I've worked it out that I have got to lose 4 stone in order to ride the Icelandic pony! So I have five months and nearly three weeks! Plus Christmas and New Year to get through plus any other social events that will pop up in the meantime! Can I do it?!! I'm getting back onto the weight loss seriously tomorrow with a 500 cal day. Jacket potato, beans and salad tonight for dinner!
. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Elnora has given me - I really do need to stretch more – I'm getting to be such an old crock before my time!
· . Drink six glasses of water per day – I do feel better and less sluggish when I do this. No brainer.
· Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – carrying on with this one – lighten up at the weekend.
. Eating down from the freezer - I want to use up as much as I can here - have chicken, liver, mince and fish to cook
I've not bothered with setting myself targets with alcohol this time as I don't find it a problem just to keep drinking to when I socialise. As I've said before, I'd rather eat my calories than drink them!
So my weekend eating-fest has now finished – all fat rascals have been consumed for the time being! Serious September begins tomorrow! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I have no idea what fat rascals are?
Best description beanie is a rock cake, but much spicier and yummier! They look like they have a face - made up from nuts and cherries. They are baked and sold by Betty's - an upmarket chain of cafes/bakers in Yorkshire. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I have no idea what a fat rascal is either!
Well done on the weight loss up to now SSG :T. The Icelanic pony is excellent incentive as that sounds like an amazing experience.
Your weekend with DD sounds lovely as always, can I adopt her? :rotfl:
How very annoying about the PPI . They are always reluctant to hand over money although I found B@rcl@yc@rd and H@lif@x paid us quite quickly once they'd upheld our claims. I hope it come soon. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

£4.50 from Ad Hoc spends last night on taxi back from station.
Budgeted spends today were weekly lunchtime coffee at Pret with my friend. I bought eggs, bananas, spinach and sparkling water tonight at Co-op and a lottery ticket for tonight. Our lottery syndicate has broken up at work so I'm going to buy two lotto tickets per week instead and this will be a budgeted spend too.
My Ad Hoc spends today were £10 on my Senior Railcard (got this £20 off with my season ticket) and £1.81 on recorded delivery to post my PPI complaint. Then.....
I got in this evening And found a letter dated 30 August from same PPI company. It was a duplicate of the previous letter confirming my payment only this time I will receive my cheque by end of this month! They have also added extra interest of £14 to the original payment. I've a feeling I'll be getting monthly letters upping the payment but never getting a cheque - like a PPI Groundhog Day! I'll wait and see if I receive an answer to my complaint letter.
Will report on Day 1 of this month's Plan tomorrow.
Have a good evening all!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I had an email from the MSE forum team about my banishment from the forum when I try to access it via my work PC. They have reinstated me and have informed me that it was probably because I have being typing out my posts in Word then pasting them into my replies on the threads. The posts then get caught up in their spam measures. They're working to resolve the issue but have advised against trying to post via Word for the time being. Apparently if you use Notebook instead this is ok.
Bit annoying as I've lost quite a few long posts in the past when I've typed directly into the thread reply. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

SERIOUS SEPTEMBER - DAY 1
· 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – 500 calorie day - all went well. I only had one egg left so I didn't cook my wrap. Had one hard boiled egg and an extra apple!
. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Elnora has given me - I did my 30 mins but failed on the exercises - must do better!
· . Drink six glasses of water per day – All ok!:T
· Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – failed with this last night. Still reading diaries............:o
. Eating down from the freezer - I'm saving the batch cooking till the weekend. Will finish off the quick cook food in the week like fish fingers etc.
All quiet today in work - for a change! Most of the males on the desk have gone off to the pub to watch paint dry - sorry, I mean the cricket!:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
