I'm not as stringent with ironing clothes as I used to be inod. Over the last couple of years we have gone more casual in work re dress so I don't even own a suit any more or any blouses. I mostly wear jersey or easy care type tunic tops and skinny trousers or jeans. I find i can get away without ironing these sometimes if I smooth them out and hang them up to dry straight from the washing machine. As I've been using the Marie Kondo method of folding for some time I always pack my clothes in suitcases this way. Everything comes out the other end quite uncreased and I hang them up straight away. I rarely need to iron anything at the hotel.

Today I ironed and changed the sheets and did the rest of the laundry. I've completed my holiday list. Haven't got to buy anything before I go apart from a new guide book.

I'm having my hair cut and highlighted tomorrow evening and have just realised that I won't see my hairdresser again till after Christmas. So I'll have to get his pressie tomorrow. He's Italian and likes his red wine so I'll have to find him a nice bottle tomorrow lunchtime.

Tonight I've another M&S microwave meal for dinner - chicken korma and basmati rice. Yoghurt and fruit for dessert again!

  • That sounds good being able to dress a bit bit more casually at work.

I wish I knew what the Marie Kondo folding method was, it sounds useful. I usually roll my clothes to pack them.

Marie Kondo has a couple of books out Hairy, but if you google her there are a few videos on YouTube - by her and by fans - demonstrating the method. There's also a thread devoted to her on the Old Style section of the forum. Mind you, rolling up clothes when packing is probably as good.

  • Thanks Cumbria - no sink yet but the last two cabinet carcasses up and doors on the other top cabinets!

Hope you get a Macey's Xmas bauble!:)

Last day in work today! Yippee!:j. Actually it wasn't so bad - I felt everything was under control and no mad rush to complete things. Left on time for a change.

The big Christmas tree is up outside our office but not lit yet. But I popped into Leadenhall Market on the way home to buy my guidebook and all the decs were up and the big tree alight. Looked lovely:xmastree:

So tomorrow I'm up early to get my nails done. Tidy round and finish packing (though kitchen will be rumbling on in the background). Im leaving tea time for the airport and overnight stay as I've an early flight on Thursday morning!:j
