I saw there is a place in Devon that you can order CBD gummies online, like chewy sweets. It's called The Hemp Wellness Centre.
Hopefully that will disguise the taste!I use the Simply CBD black oil, n the pooches have their liquid gold , which is with turmeric .Neither taste fab. but the improvement in mine n Buddy's pain is sooooo worth itI just have a drink straight after
It seems like some people can tolerate the taste, but I felt like I was going to throw up when I was trying the oil. I have an overactive gag reflex, lol.0 -
Afternoon folks!
Just settling down to catch up here!
It's been a bit busy here - having gotten through my PiP assessment last year, my ESA is now due for reassessment...paperwork got filled in well before due date - sent off...and date for assessment was received...and two problems, first of all was the joke of an assessment time...90minutes away, and they suggested a 9am appointment!..and the assessment centre is a '25 minute walk' from the nearest bus or train station...who are they kidding??!!...And this is BEFORE you consider that I can't travel!!!..Do they even read what you write on your form???
After a few phonecalls…(getting the right department is a tough job!)...we got hold of someone who told us that home visits are not generally given ..(my last ESA assessment was at home!)...and I need a GP note to even be considered...and it needs to arrive before next week!...Then they said that they had looked at my notes and can't understand why I am being called for a face-to-face, apparently I should have been assessed purely on my form! ...they are looking into it, but have told me to get the GP note anyway.
I really wish the Assessment Companies would get their act together!!!
So have spent the afternoon trying to persuade the GP receptionist to fit me in tomorrow!
On a brighter note...the Christmas Craft magazines are starting to come into the shops...lots of lovely stuff to consider making!
As for cooking...I learned from my amazing Mum...and a bit from my Omi (gran)...I am very blessed in that I have the old cookbook that my Omi used..AND I have the handwritten one that Omi started and Mum continued...a real treasure!...Having said that, disability means that I have had to pull back on some of my cooking...knives are all but forbidden as I am such a klutz that it is dangerous!....but I have adapted my kitchen with gadgets to let me tay cooking 'proper' foodas often as possible.
The weather is a fair bit cooler now...so sleeping is much easier....thankfully!0 -

Good luck with your early appointment . Just talk it through with the Dr regarding HRT . I didn't take it but I know many who found it a life changer . I'm lucky I haven't really had depression as such , I think life was always to full on to have the time to dwell on things . There was always a problem to solve or somewhere to be .

My GP doesn't seem to think my depression is down to the menopuase,I told her that I am normally fine on the dose of anti Ds that I'm on at present and was wondering if it could be hormonal because they aren't working as well ,she thinks that my serotonin levels have dropped for some reason so has doubled my dose dose of anti Ds,I have to take this dose for a month to see if it works,if it,doesn't make any difference I have to go back and she will discuss HRT with me,I'm not too keen to go on HRT to be honest but with the way I am feeling at the moment I am willing to try anything
There is also a budget issue here because if they aren't actually working I would rather not waste my money paying for the script as it could be paying for something that would actually work,Im going to trial the month and see what happens
Yesterday while I was at work I started to feel a cold coming on and by the end of the day had a full blown runny nose and sneezing,I went to bed early for me last night but got woken up by next doors children at about 11pm,they were banging up and down the stairs by the sound of it,I banged on the wall in the end
Today I have a stinking cold so haven't really done much, luckily it was my day off,I'm working tomorrow but finish early so it shouldn't be too bad
I'm hoping for an early night tonight too but the next door kids are rampaging round the house and there is screaming and crying going on, I can hear the mother screaming at one of them now,I'm seriously thinking of calling social services when I get to work tomorrow as this woman's parenting leaves a lot to be desiredOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -
Hi everyone!
I'm so glad (I know it sounds awful) that the kids go back in Tuesday! Just spent £104 in Shoes today!
Made 4 shepherds pies for the freezer and going to try and make a spaghetti Bol then a chilli so we have easy meals in for after school - I love winter cooking it's so easy and I can use the SC so much more.
I'm ready for cosy dark nights now, gitbthe kids both New slippers today too but there PJ's are so short on them think i will have to get them new ones soon. They just grow so quickly!
Hope everyone is ok Polly that is some good advice, he is going to get half pay as he has used his full pay when he first was off (4weeks) so it's going to be really hard but we will manage I'm sure.
My wage is only small but we have a little savings we can use and hopefully he will be back to work after that.
LW I'm so glad you popped back in, nice to see you have your furry friends visiting, how is Mr LW doing?
Hope everyone else is ok
I'm looking at home made Xmas gifts to make with the kids this year! Love winter!

Prinzessilein, it seems common sense and the obvious is in short supply at a lot of these assessment places. As it is, it seems a really transparent attempt to get more folk off PIP/ESA and make their numbers look good.
Onebrokelady, sorry to hear about the sleep disturbing goblins (when dealing with banging/thundering ones, I can't help but see a grumpy goblin rather than a child - gives me a chuckle to offset the initial annoyance) next door. Do hope something can be done about it to at least protect your sleep a bit. All the best for shaking the cold quickly too.
Thanks for the mental image,I'm going to visualise a chubby goblin rampaging round their house every night,it did make me :rotfl: they are currently out in their garden playing / killing each other,
My cold soldiers on but I at least got to work yesterday with the aid of paracetamol, just a 12 hour shift tomorrow and then I've got two days off :T
I'm glad to see you are feeling a little less stressed now, there is nothing worse than having things hanging over you that you can't do anything about,I try to take it one day at a time in these situations otherwise I get in a right state, I'm so glad I am still able to do my job and don't have to claim anything,I was on benefits when my children weren small and I hated it every time claim time came round,it was so stressful,it sounds weird but when the day came that I was no longer allowed to claim becasue they were too old I was actually relieved,I was working full time but that time as well so it worked out ok for meOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -

It's lovely and warm here today but smells decidedly autumnal, someone has got a bonfire going and I can smell woodsmoke which I love, however I do need to peg some washing out in a bit so it's not good timing,it's coming from the fields at the back of me so not overpowering, hopefully it won't make my washing smell smokey
I've just been looking at Pinterest and have found a couple of lovely warm wintery recipes that I saved, I'm a vegetarian and I'm always looking for vege type bakes that you can just bung in the oven,it's usually cheap fairly quick and really filling food, becasue I normally just cook for me I tend to make enough for fours then divided them up and I either eat them over four days or I freeze some and alternate eating them with other meals if I do it this way I don't have to cook everyday as I don't like cooking so the least time spent in the kitchen the better for me
I've got a curry to make later that will last me for four days,I'm really craving curry at the moment,I think it's because I've got a cold and can't taste much.
The cold is still with me and I feel properly bunged up today,I didn't get up until 10.30 because I was coughing too much to sleep last night,I'm hoping it won't last much longer,I've got work tomorrow for 12 hours so could do with it going away,I was supposed to be meeting my mum for coffee today but had to cancel because I can't face going out and I dont want her to catch it either
Today's plans are to have lunch in a minute then I'm going to sit down and do some cross stitch for the afternoon
Hope everyone's having a good weekend xxOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -

Hi . Veg recipes can be found on the September ( or whatever month you look for them ) challenge . Near the top of the first OS forum page . # 10 is the complete vegetarian collection which I seem to remember was Gingham's thread . There are other veggie recipes in the posts above marked with a V .
All the lists there are a treasure trove of past OS threads . Including a link to useful threads . Many are on various ways to be OS and are a version of Squeaky's OS index . A wonderful and much missed man .
Well I'm another catching up on posts . It's been pretty hectic and tiring over the last few days but worth the effort .
I'll be replying in no particular order today .
Prinzess I do hope you manage to get some sense out of the DWP and that you've managed to get the letter from your GP . I don't know if you remember but dd was partway through her DLA to PIP transfer when the ESA form came through the letterbox . Our doctor had sent a letter to them for the PIP transfer and gave us one to include with the form too . Apart from them cancelling three times at very short notice she was assessed at home by an experienced nurse . We sent off another letter to ESA , doctor too and they turned it down flat despite many phone calls . We were sent to a centre miles out of the region and luckily our lovely taxi driver took us there and back at mates rates .
She was lucky to been assessed by a Dr with years of experience and traveled door to door with a driver she knew and trusted . Public transport is a whole different ball game . If it comes to the point where they wont back down and you have some cash available go by taxi both ways . We sat in the waiting room as people were offered a form to claim back travel expenses both ways whatever means they used to travel . It shouldn't be like this but it's obvious things have moved away badly from the old paper assessments .
WT If it goes to appeal stage for PIP a good source of information is Advice Now . They're also good for MR requests but as yours has already been sent no good to you at this time but may be useful for others here . If you click on the How to win a PIP appeal picture on the main page , scroll down and click on the red link at the bottom you will be taken to all the step by step stages of advice throughout the process including useful tools to click on . You can read online or download the PDF ..
I'm taking a short break but with carry on catching up later today .
Hope all are ok
