Hi hope everyone's had a good day,I'm just catching up before bed ,I've got a doctors appointment at 7 am in the morning  apparently they offer them to people who work so they can get in before work, such a good idea,it's actually my day off tomorrow and this was the only appointment I could get with my actual go
Im going to speak to her about he antidepressants I am taking as I don't feel like they are helping much this time,I'm wondering if my current mood is related to the menopause rather than my normal depression,I'm definitely not feeling ok mentally and veer between feeling completely numb and down to completely happy and able to do everything,I feel like I have permanent PMS, my temper is also very short at the moment so there's something going on ,I want to ask about HRT to see what she says,or if they can do a blood test to check my hormone levels,I have been finding work a bit of a challenge as well, having said that today was a lovely day
I'm off to bed now seeing as I have to get up early,it's also my day to look after my DGS so I need to be on the ball for that,I didn't sleep well last night because I had too much on my mind but hopefully tonight will be better
    Sleep well everyone x

Oh it's good to see you Wonky Teapot . I've been wondering how things have been , people come and go here and sometimes just go off into the ether and i always wonder how life is for them now .
I'm so sorry to hear you have to go to appeal . Did you have help with the appeal process ? The positive is a huge percentage of cases are overturned once it gets to the tribunal stage . It's unbiased and involves a medical expert rather than some random assessor .
I suppose you're aware it can take a long time for the case to be heard .
I hope you get the job as to lose the extra money is a shock .
Are your glasses specialist lenses ? I imagine the cost of replacement is high .

Candy , Wednesday and some others here have tried the oil . My dd and I haven't so I can't comment on it .

Sending positive vibes for a good outcome for the job and appeal . I hope you'll pop in when you can .

    Take care

OBL I didn't really get depressed but had a couple of years of horrible hot flushes . I just to drag myself to work feeling like a soggy zombie .
Good luck with your early appointment . Just talk it through with the Dr regarding HRT . I didn't take it but I know many who found it a life changer . I'm lucky I haven't really had depression as such , I think life was always to full on to have the time to dwell on things . There was always a problem to solve or somewhere to be .

Just popping back quickly Wonky Teapot as I've noticed my typos which are a sign it's time for bed . Just wondering if you're aware you can send any further evidence you may get before the tribunal date .polly x

Cheers Polly, we're just going into the mandatory reconsideration phase but will make a note of that in case it goes to tribunal (as by that point, I'd have had time to get medical letters sorted as well - good to know we can throw those at them as well) - posting here has done wonders to calm already.
When you said appeal I thought you meant the tribunal stage . MR is sometimes successful depending if you've sent reasons to back up why you disagree that tie in with the descriptors . It's a bit hit and miss really as it will be looked at by the decision maker that looked at your original claim .
Hopefully it will be ok but if it goes to tribunal stage you have plenty of time to really prepare your case . There is a lot of good advice on MSE . Alice on the benefits board has a lot of knowledge as do a few others over there . There are template letters , links to advice centres including the specialist health charities and lots of useful information . I'll send positive vibes that you wont need to go to that stage .

Hope everyone's ok . Early start tomorrow so will post later .

I've had to do some serious catching up with this thread!! I just haven't had the time or, if I'm honest, the energy, to even log onto MSE much lately, let alone post. Shows how bad it is, I've only just seen that Candygirl has another Staffie pup! :o

We have a Staffie staying at the moment, Cookie, who was here this time last year. She's being a fantastic guest, but oh my, I am covered in bruises! She's been here a week now; and is going home on Saturday. However, we have Honey the Shih Tzu coming on Sunday for a week.

I've just got partway down page 92 – I'm another who had to teach themselves to cook. My mother was an atrocious cook; I swear, that woman could burn boiling water! And my father didn't set foot in the kitchen other than to cross it to get to the back door – he simply didn't do “womens' work”.

Tink well done on getting through your grievance procedues, and excellent news that you've been awarded your Blue Badge. I've just put in the paperwork to get mine renewed. I hope your DH's op goes well.

Thankfully, Mr LW's Parkinson's symptoms seem to be reasonably well under control with the Sinemet Plus he's been prescribed. I think the constipation was the worst, and that seems to *touch wood* be ok now. It was awful – we only have one bathroom, and on days when he was suffering badly and therefore taking up residence in there, AND I had a bad day with lupus-induced nausea and so needed constant access to the bathroom, it was truly unfunny!

I've been reading all the info I can on the Parkinsons UK website, plus a couple of others the clinical nursie lady recommended, and I've emailed Parkinsons UK a whole raft of questions,so hopefully I'll make some sense of it all eventually.

It's just awkward because I'm dependent on Mr LW for so much - like dressing, bathing, etc; and I need him to push my wheelchair when we go shopping. It's a real pain in the proverbial.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

^ I get lots of bruises from my Jack Russell as she is so hyper.:D

I'm going to try the CBD stuff again. I really didn't like the taste of the oil before, but they have brought out lots of new products since last year.

They all get such good online reviews so I will try again with it.:)
