Popping in quickly to send the positive vibes to Wolfy for the meet and greets tomorrow . Candle is lit at the moment . Appt and other stuff for us tomorrow . My shoulder has kicked off again and we don't have a teeny tiny spoon between us .

It's good to see you Maddie . Hoping to catch up at the weekend .

Hope you're a bit nearer to that MRI AOT and you aren't struggling too much .

We had a few claps of thunder earlier and about 10 minutes of heavy rain and now it's back to hot and humid .

Will keep you in mind tomorrow Wolfie .

Today has been quite hard. Knew the back end of this week would be difficult - had the bouncy castle here all day and kids and friends popping in and out! Very easily chucked pizzas in the oven and a tray of chicken nuggets which fed all the kids and took some buns out of the freezer and made sandwiches for me and MIL.

My kids are wiped and DH is bathing them while I have a cuppa in the garden! It's been warm today but cloudy. Thanks god we haven't had the rain the rest of the country has had :0

Take away tonight for me and DH as we have made it through the week! I'm not cooking or cleaning any more!

Hope to get a bit more done in the garden over the weekend but will see how we go! Lads are back at school on Monday so last weekend off.

    Hi everyone!

I've had a horrible week and not been sleeping so that's made it so much worse!

Hoping to fall asleep tonight as I've stayed up extra late but it's just not been happening all week for me.

Hope you are all well as you are very quiet lately.

Going to see if I can get in the garden tomorrow for some re potting and tending to my plants.

    Take care

I'm not sleeping either - as you can tell cos I'm posting at stoopid o'clock.

Been resorting to valerian tablets, but even they don't seem to cut it lately; I suspect my total worry about Mr LW's health (and the resultant lupus flare, as I don't do well when stressed) may be to blame; currently awaiting an appointment with a neurologist for him. Just when we got the all clear for his lungs - though he still has the chronic cough - now we have this to contend with.

    Bah!

Another here from the land of the sleepless ! Mainly it's the never ending heat , lack of air and a brain overloaded with stuff .
As you know Wolfy life has been very busy in this neck of the woods . Lots of positive outcomes but multiple appointments since February and we're both physically and mentally drained .

As the keeper of the diaries and lists I've begun to lose the ability to sort what needs doing when . As you'll both know flares take advantage of these time to join in with a good kicking .

I hope you feel a bit better today Tink . You have such a lot to do try to choose your battles and focus on the absolute priorities . Don't push yourself , you can only manage what you can .

Much empathy Wolfy as you both wait once more for the appointments system to do its thing . It really isn't long since the last choose and book episode . It's pointless telling you not to worry because I know you will . I just hope things happen soon .

I know you've had a little visitor to cheer you up . Any more on the horizon ? I lose track .

Anyway much has happened here in a positive way . One thing is the recommendation by the pain specialist to increase the Zomorph to try to handle the pain levels dd is battling with . More importantly he's strongly advised the addition of a 2nd DMARD to hopefully lesson the pain and lead at some point to less reliance on strong pain relief .
That's for discussion with the new Rheumo dept . There was a long waiting list so appt is mid July .

Tomorrow is back to the physio expert who is very good to hopefully have a plan put in place . Every part of the team are communicating with each other so it's an holistic way of doing things which is hopeful .

I hope AOT,maddie , pauline , Prinzess and those who post or read are ok . If anyone has rain please send it here before we melt like Frosty the snowman .

LW it's such a worry! Hope you get an appointment soon!

I'm hoping for this week to be better and so much less stress at work and hoping I can manage to sleep a bit too.

Should try to meal plan tonight but I can't really be bothered. Did plant some seeds in the garden today and re potted some tomatoe plants as they are getting big!

Really not with it still but plodding along.

Hope everyone is doing ok too

I hope you didn't try meal planning tonight Tink and you're getting ready for bed instead . Just think of all the tomatoes you will have to look forward to soon . You've done enough for now . Sending the magic sleep dust in the hope you will get some sleep tonight . Also hoping work will be less stressful in the coming days .
    Sleep tight

Aye, we have Honey the Shih Tzu here til Friday. Then a month with no dog; Ronnie cancelled, as his young mistress is in hospital with a kidney infection, so the family have had to cancel their trip to Cyprus. (Reminds me, I must email and ask how she's faring).

The NHS Choices thing is a farce. We got the letter telling uds to log on and choose'n'book. So we did - three hospitals to choose from, but only one we can realistically get to (it may be that Mr LW gets told not to drive, further down the road, if the GP's suspicions prove correct; and I simply cannot drive through the middle of a town I don't know. Simply can't be done. Not negotiable.) So opted for local hosp - only there's no appts to book, just had to leave them a message and they're supposed to call Mr LW sometime between now and Friday; if they don't, he has a number to ring. Bluddy farce - why not just refer us locally to start with??
    Sorry for the rant. :o

Meantime, he's still coughing; specialist says there's minor scarring on his lungs from having double pneumonia as a child, but nowt sinister, and to go back to GP if he needs to; he's also written to GP suggesting anti-flybotics. So we've booked a GP appt for that - 17th July. That was absolutely the first appt available, with ANY GP in the practise.

Sometimes I just want to shove my head down the loo and press the flush!! :wall:

And yeah, I have a lupus flare to contend with; but you know what? I don't care. That is unimportant; it's Mr LW I am concerned with.

Thanks Polly! I didn't do anything last night and had a pizza out of the freezer for supper! Sleep the last 2 nights but had awful dreams :(

The work thing wasn't as bad today and I managed to hold my head up and get on with things. I'm hoping it's resolved soon as I really don't like the stress things like this bring.

We had a new fence and gate put on the side of the house today so we have a bit more privacy and it's more secure than the last one. I'm really paranoid about locking doors and things, I have the doors locked all the time as hate the thought that someone could just walk into your house! Weird I know but I feel better.

Kids are tired already and it's only Monday - I'm trying to chill out a bit but it's not working too well. When I'm not right the first thing to go is the food - just had to get bread and sand which stuff for DH pack up tomorrow but we have nothing else fresh in. Sure we have some stuff in the freezer that we can survive on for now.

Hugs to LW and Mr LW too

    Xx

I've just checked and I haven't posted here since June 10th and here we are on the 1st day of July . Life has been very busy , hot , sleepless and at times annoying . Many good things have happened though as the lovely team around dd are doing a good job of undoing all the errors in the past and she is making steady progress .
So many appointments are exhausting but all are done in kind ,positive and often hilarious fashion . Worth every moment of time and effort .
Evil Consultant is now history . Just under 2 weeks ago our GP added an extra med as lack of sleep was ramping up the anxiety and the agoraphobia was making things very difficult . It's seems amazing so far as apart from the first couple of days and one very hot night she has slept well and woken from restorative sleep . I can't remember when that last happened but it's many years ago .
It begins with an M but too hot to remember the name at the moment .

I am plodding , doing as little as possible in the house due to the heat . I feel a bit better joint and muscle wise compared to cold , damp times . Struggling to sleep is a real problem and makes it harder to function the following day . I seem to be writing various little lists for each appointment so nothing is forgotten . Luckily I now put them in my bag as soon as they're done now so am not leaving them at home .

I've been wondering how everyone is coping with food . I feel hungry but can't fancy cooked food and tend to be picking at odds and ends .

I hope all are managing . Soon be the summer holidays Tink . I've lost track of the four footed guests Wolfy , you'll know how fast the posts stack up on the Fence thread and cover many topics in one day .Often I can't remember who said what .

I've not noticed AOT , Prinzess or all the other posters around on OS lately so hope all is well with them .

I keep meaning to ask Cranky how the leg is now . It's been a long time since she took that tumble down the stairs and I know it wasn't as simple as she first thought .

    Take care all
