Surprised it took so long for someone to mention this :D

I live near a school and the number of idiot drivers on the school run is shocking and I think many have these stickers.

And yes this is merely my personal experience ;)
  • So long as you both ensure it doesn't block your vision (some of those signs can be foolish big) and take it down when small passengers leave the vehicle, whyever not?

Just please make sure it doesn't cause an accident or unnecessarily delay a firebod.

I'm sure that these signs originally came about after a kid had fell down into the rear footwell following a bad accident and wasn't found until it was too late to save her, in Germany I think it was.

I will almost guarantee that will not happen.

If the accident was so bad that the child managed to break free of the legally required seatbelt and child seat, then it's probably academic how soon the emergency services find it.
If the seatbelt and child seat aren't being used, then there's probably a better way to improve the child's chances than a sticker.

It's no different to these idiots that post "Oh mommy loves you soooooo much" on Facebook for a 6 month on spawn to read.
Also seeing as how people use kids as an excuse for everything, it's probably an excuse for bad driving too, or they think people will let them off for parking stupidly, etc, etc.

Now here's a thought - if I put a 'Baby on Board' sign on the rear window will that mean that they won't bother me for parking in the 'Parent & Sprog' section at Asda? ;)

Suction cup sign is in the window but is not visible due to the windows being tinted

Is that the point of those signs?

I have never seen the reason for them before. I drive carefully all the time but I can image those that don't aren't suddenly going to turn into a perfect driver just because the car in front has a sign in the back window.

Elsein makes a every good point.

Could you find a suitable outside sticker (white writing for example) and stick that onto your inside sign, would that work?

Due to the tinted windows the yellow of the sign is not even visible
