Zombies Run!
It's not a C25k app, but it is great fun and might be worth moving on to once you've finished C25k if you find you've got used to something going on over headphones lol.
There's a thread in this forum, but I can never get links easily with my phone. If I remember, I'll come back and edit this post with the link later.

Glad you agree on tomorrow I was thinking maybe people would think I should 'just get over myself' and go on Friday with having to pick son up after  the thought that people I know would see me in my gear horrifies me
Do what suits you, and more importantly don't do what doesn't suit. If you don't want the other Mums seeing you in your leggings, that's your choice. I'm like that in my fitness class - can't bear to look at myself in the mirror, even though obviously the rest of the class can see me !!0 -
Sorry to hear about your mum Eric's mum. Congragtulations on your weight loss that's amazing!
IwanttobeSE I started yoga 3 weeks ago, really loving it! It's relaxing at the end and you feel like you have had a good work out.
Iammumtoone - juggling 'real life' is the hardest bit, do what you would be most happy with. I like the programme that it can fit around you...if you need to do day 3 on Monday, so be it. It should be a stress release not stress causer.
All this talk on new clothes makes me want to ditch my maternity clothes and buy some good looking ones. I hope I lose some weight and 'need' to soon haha.0 -
yay! just got back from completing week 3 day 1
feeling good :)The sun was just starting to set and there was a lovely view from my favourite park. I'm glad I've finally had a good one after a good one and a missed one! I even managed to fit in an extra 30 seconds run in the 3 minute walk and felt I could keep going a few seconds longer on the run sections.
Hope everyone who was out today had a good one (and even if it was hard, at least you were out there giving it your best!) and good luck to everyone out tomorrow.0 -
I did it week 1 complete. I feel slightly proud of myself
Much better today it was still very warm but there was a cooling breeze which made all the difference.
sweetilemom - you are so right fitting it in is the hardest bit. I am determined to run 3 times a week (or 4 the following if I get behind) for the 9 weeks it takes to complete the C25K. After that I will be more relaxed and go two or three times a week depending on what I can fit in.
Mallygirl - thats a good point I was thinking of my embarrassment not sure whos would have been worse mine or my sons :rotfl:
Angry bear - I looked at zombie run it sounds really fun, once I have completed C25K I will give it a try.
Popped into town today and got one of these http://www.sportsdirect.com/karrimor-run-bottle-300ml64-764157?colcode=76415737
I didn't get any clothes as I couldn't find any leggings/tracksuit bottoms suitable. I need ones with zipped pockets as I need pockets to put my phone and mp3 player in. I will check out the charity shops at the weekend to see if I can find anything in them.0 -

Well done
How are you finding the jump from one week to the next? I am a bit apprehensive as next week its a further 30 seconds running but they do give you more walking time. Looking forward to it though.0 -
The idea of someone seeing me in my leggings and workout clothes horrifies me too!
Thats the main reason i dont run on the road
Re running in the winter, don't you all worry about slipping on ice? I know that i won't be able to get to the lake that i normally run around when it's icy, so i might have to reconsider my route when the temperature drops.
Angry Bear- yes, that is the right one! I thought it was a C25K thing, but obviously not. I am definitely going to give that a go once i have completed my C25K! Does it have set time/distances?
Sweetilemon- Definitely ditch the maternity wear and get some snazzy workout stuff. Primark was cheap, but i would go down a size, as my leggings are slightly lose on me. Not fun when i have to keep on pulling them up!
I might look into a yogu class again, thanks
i.love.baking and iammumtoone- well done both of you on completing your runs!! That's so cool! I cant wait to finish week 1 on Saturday.
I won't be running tomorrow, as i have a funeral in the morning, and wont get home until about midday. Actually, i may feel like a run when i get home from that, i think it all depends on how i am feeling.
I hear that a lot of people like to run when they are feeling stressed/upset, so maybe i'll give it a go.0 -

I haven't found it all too bad, I think the thought of it seems worse than it actually is. I think my best advise is to slow your pace down if you're worried. in week 2 they give you some breathing tips, I really think that once you learn to control your breathing it all gets soooo much easier. You shouldn't feel too out of breath.
WantToBeSE- running does make you feel a whole lot better, it's all those endorphins!
Those of you doing a bit of yoga, and want to do a bit at home, I reccomend the youtube channel 'yoga with adrienne' it's american but she's really good and not to cheesy or serious and she just bursts into random song! she has a couple of videos specufically for runners- I've not done them but judging by her other videos i'm sure they're just as good0 -

Thanks I will take a look. Ds likes yoga (he does it at school) he is better than I am, I will only attempt it in my own home as I am utterly useless :rotfl:
Anyone with children try Cosmic kids yoga. Me and ds do this occasionally its for kids but I find it really hardmost of them are for younger children but there are a couple for older kids ds likes the harry potter one.
