Malc, another customer to add to the exit pile! Like most on here, the mse eon fix is now coming to its end. However with no competitive eon tariff to switch to, were not going to stick around on the standard variable rate. Agree with other comments, nice website and good customer service, so maybe in a few years down the line we could be back! Until then, or unless a new tariff comes out soon, au revoir!
Added your comments to my list pezz18. Thanks for this and sorry to see you go. Glad you were happy with our service and website.

Really fed up with all this.
As above POPPYOSCAR, I've added your comments to the feedback I've been giving management about Forum sentiment following the launch of our new tariffs last Wednesday. Thanks for this and sorry to see you go too.

Money talks! Like many previously loyal EON customers, I'm off to join a rival. Shame on you EON not showing us any loyalty!
As above ossie, I've included your comments with my feedback. Thanks for posting and sorry to see you go too.

What would you do as a consumer Malc if you had the current V19 ?0

Add at least another one to the leaving list, I'll regretfully be moving to British Gas and will advise family members with eon to leave to.
Added mew. I've also made a note of the wider impact with family members affected. Sorry to see you go and thank you for commenting.

I agree with this totally. We are also leaving Eon because of this. Also a friend of ours is leaving but does not post on MSE to add to this thread.
Edwink
Added you to my feedback list too Edwink and also noted about your friend. Thanks for posting and sorry to see you leave.

fredandwilma wrote: »Malc, I don't have any complaints with E.on other than someone posted on another thread they had received their Warm Home Discount, (to be paid in October,) and i still haven't heard about mine, (which is unusual,) and given i applied for it as soon as the scheme opened, i'm wondering what's happened to mine?
I genuinely feel sorry for you and don't understand why people are so aggrieved. There have been plenty of opportunities to switch to cheaper E.on tariffs in the last 12 months, with your last collective ending just over 6 weeks ago. People only have themselves to blame if they rely on MSE and the CEC.
Also E.on put in a bid after BG, but BG subsequently undercut E.on, so it was very close between the two suppliers. You can't expect the same supplier to win the auction everytime.
I imagine there will be an uproar one year from now, when all the people who change to BG (and stay with them for a year,) complain if BG don't win a subsequent auction, especially with the very high standing charge from BG.
I'm perfectly happy with my E.on two year fix, it's proved to be a good decision and i don't have to worry until the end of July 2018 if necessary, and that's a long way in the future.
Just sort out my Warm Home Discount please, E.on.
Glad you're reasonably happy with us fredandwilma. Don't worry about me. After 7 years representing E.ON on these Forums, I'm used to the highs and lows. If I remember right, about a year ago, I was posting quite a lot of positive stuff after we had won a collective. Swings and roundabouts as they say.
On the Warm Home Discount, as you applied to us, sounds like you're in the Broader Group. We've recently started to send letters to Broader Group applicants to let them know if they've been accepted or rejected. If accepted, payments start in October with the aim of paying all successful applicants by the end of May 17.
Customers in the Core Group are usually paid a little earlier. Guessing, but it may be the person in the other thread is in this group.
Happy to check for you. Please drop an email to the address in my Profile if you would like me to do this. Hope this helps and thank you for your kind comments. They're appreciated.

I'm also of the opinion that Eon have shot themselves in the foot with this marketing ploy and feel loyal Eon customer's have been short-changed with this tactic.
These forums and CEC were set up and exist to try and help people get the best options for their energy usage
As a side note, Malc or Helena, is there any barrier to stop us transferring away from Eon to another tariff without exit fees to then transfer back on one of these new tariffs, when the switch has gone through?? Barring the fact the tariffs might not be available any more at that time??
Hello Wolf3 and no, there's nothing to stop you switching to another supplier and then switching back again. Apart from, that is, the pitfall you and brewerdave have already highlighted. The tariff might not be available by the time you return. At the moment, no date has been set for when we'll stop selling our new Saver Tariffs but, like all our products, they can be removed from sale at any time.
It usually takes about two and half weeks to switch supplier but, sometimes, it can be longer before accounts are fully up and running. The supply start date will be approximately two and half weeks from kicking off the switch and billing will start from then. There's other stuff going on behind the scenes, though, and this can affect the actual account. It often involves third parties like distributors, meter operators etc and can mean it's longer before everything is in place. Potentially this could have an impact on when you'll be able to switch back. This isn't always the case but it can happen so best to know in advance as it could influence your decision.
Hope this helps Wolf3. I've also added your comments about these new tariffs to the feedback I've been giving to my bosses.

brewerdave wrote: »...and therein lies the rub - nothing to stop you doing this, pay the exit fees and then move back BUT I remember the fuss last year when EON v19 tariff (which was competitive) was replaced overnight by the supremely uncompetitive v20!!!
That's right, brewerdave. As above, although a date hasn't been set yet for when we'll stop offering these new Saver Tariffs for sale, they can be withdrawn from sale at any time.

MALC.
Thanks for all your messages, and comments that complaints have been passed up the line.
Is there any chance that you could give some feedback regarding the attitude of senior management to the adverse comments made.0
