Not a happy Dragon - in fact this Dragon is sulking
oh no dragon!! Altho this could be down to exercising a lot - have u done any? Some of you may already be aware of this, but muscle actually weighs more than fat, so as you exercise more you gain more muscle, and im not talking about pumping iron - its all very scientific and i know im sad but ive read up alot on it and basically the more you exercise the more actual weight u may put on - this is why some slimming groups ask you to measure yourself rather than weigh, as the difference is sometimes in the cms!!
Hope this helps

OH is wondering if I am trying to cut down too much again
hmmmm u may have not eaten enough then?
the body shuts down when you dont eat enough, and rather than lose the fat your body actually stores the fat rather than burning it off!!

Hi Mad
I actually CANNOT exercise (due to disability) so the only way to lose is to eat healthily.
The doctors have actually admitted that they have caused me to have an eating disorder because when I piled a load of weight on due to the road accident (which left me disabled) I piled it on because of inactivity and steroids. The docs never looked at my medication and just kept telling me to cut down on my food and I did (and did, and did, and ........), finally a couple of years I was asked to keep a food diary (and OH was to sign it off as accurate) and on a good day I was consuming 300 Kcals, for my weight in order to lose I should be on no less than 1,200 Kcals a day.
The problem now is that if I get stressed or get any negative comments I instantly stop eating as a reflex! I really tried hard last week though and was managing over 1,000 every day.Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Good afternoon everyone!
Got the digital scales (not the electric ones, as I've been calling them all day), and I'm now off for a sulk with Dragon...
The scales say 10st 9lbs.
Admittedly, it's not sooo bad - the first few times I got on it just said 'error' - for a while there I was worried I was over the maximum weight.
How can I weigh this much (I'm 4'11", so it's a lot) and still wear a size 12? Am I made of very dark matter? Are big lumps of flesh squidging out the back where I can't see? Are all my friends laughing at me?
Oh, and the cat weighs 7lbsAim - debt free (excluding mortgage) by 30.... 3 years, and four months to go...

Combine ordinary activities like watching TV with excercise.
So instead of making excercising an 'event' it just becomes something you do all the time and is in fact less onerous as you can do it anywhere, anytime for nothing and dont have to go out of your way or set aside time.
Examples for whilst watching TV:
1) Holding out a leg for 10 minutes
2) lying on the floor with head raised (without using arms).
3) Stand with legs apart and bent from ad break to ad break - amazing the calories this burns with little effort.
The trick is to not see it as a task but something you just do. The real benefit for me is I can eat what I want - even 2 roast dinners back to back!
I'd like to write a book on this, has anyone already done this?
I'm male BTW, just in case you imagined a gal with a name like Conrad!0 -

Morning all
Dragon, you have got it hard haven't you sweet. I agree with MM, can you let us know what you are eating and then we can have a look, a bit like a food SOA!
You may not be eating enough, they say that it is best to eat 10 small meals stretched out over the day rather than 3 large meals. Would this be any help? I try to graze, so I always have food on my desk during the day.
Try to stay possitive, although i imagine it can be hard.
