So what made you think "I have to lose weight"? Was it something specific or was it just a culmination of stuff?

For me its definately a culmination of stuff, this is a good question as the answers might keep us motivated to stick with it!!:T
    I could list a thousand reasons but heres a few of the main ones;
my ds needs an active mum!;)
i need more confidence to go for a better job
my clothes arent fitting anymore and in true dfw style, im not buying any more:rotfl:
i got called fat yesterday:eek: - it was from my brothers ex girlfriends new fella, hes a scrawny little thing n its a long story but basically they are scum who scrounge n do nothing all day every day, just want to feel a bit more confident next time i run into them!
ive actually been slim before,:o and altho it doesnt solve all your problems or make you happier as such, i would say i was definately more outgoing!
im camera shy at this weight:p
dont want to be fat anymore!!!!

    Whats every1 elses reasons?

Not a great start for me - I've been doing loads of walking but I've been eating a right load of rubbish too.

    So tomorrow:

    - I will walk for at least 40 minutes
    - I will not eat chocolate
    - I will eat a proper breakfast
    - I will play 'flying baby' with my daughter for at least 15 minutes (to tone my upper arms!)

Off to update my sig with this new challenge now!

Heh thats nothing (well no actually it is something and its really upsetting but its understandable that he might be a bit upset with your family) I get called fat from passing cars! Seriously I have been walking home from work on more than one occasion only to have abuse shouted at me from passing cars. Things like "no-one loves a fatty!" and "who ate all the pies, she did!". It was only kids and I know they were probably just having a laugh but still its kinda depressing.

Hugs Safesound & Madmoney - not nice to feel like that... xxx

My reasons are, I'm more a size 18 than 16 and all more clothes apart from 1 pair of jeans are 16 so I struggle with clothes and I can't afford new ones and don't want to accept being an 18.... where would it stop?

Plus since having my DD, I've got the most horendous jelly belly, it's gross.... I dont' feel confident in myself which affects my life, may not be a major thing but I want to improve how I feel about myself.

I eat far too much sweet stuff, I comfort eat in the evenings - this needs to stop... I haven't eaten bad stuff since Sun eve. Plus in my new house I won't be able to afford bad stuff so if it's not in I can't have it!

    Hi Guys

Of course we can have numbers! I'll pop off and did it in a second, if you want a house competition I'm also fine with that.

So let me know if you want to take part in the 'house competition' and any suggestions on house names! I think a little bit of competition can be healthy!

Right I have been really bad this week and I weigh in tonight  But I am feeling back in the mood for it today and have promised myself that I will start loosing again!!

So everyone keep up the good work and I promise to try and do at least 30mins exercise at the weekend.... Other than walking (I walk loads so I want to try something else)

As for what made me start losing weight....

    - I promised my cousin I would help her (she then quit after 2 weeks)
    - I hated shopping as I could never find anything to fit  (although i still have this problem, only difference is the 14/12's have sold out rather than the 20's)
    - I really lacked confidence and was fed but of being single (in my mind being over weight had something to do with it  )
    - I was really really unhappy.
    - My ex had an affair and I blamed that fact that I was fat and unattractive.

I think we all have similar reasons and I have much more confidence now, in fact my best friend has commented that it's like having the old Lucy back

Hey everyone. I've still not attempted to walk the 2.3 miles home, uphill, but am contemplating it tonight - promise. Have been getting up with OH at 5:30 am and don't get home myself from work until gone 7pm, i feel a bit too tired to do anything too major.

I've been 'being good' for 3 weeks, and have lost 2kg. Is that about 4 pounds? Less bloated though.
