Ok a bit of poetic liscense there, a good 50 went through in the few minutes I was there.
It wasn't the usual Londoners who decide to get out of the city at the weekend & cycle out to Surrey.
It was an organised something or other. They had numbers.
What was the pavement cyclists number?0 -
Presumably that's a sign telling you not to go 'round the right of it - perhaps it's a so-called traffic calming measure.0

There's a vacant lane to the cyclist's right that they can use to overtake safely. If the cyclist was further to the left, they'd still need to be partially in that lane to the right to overtake safely anyway.All your base are belong to us.0 -

Well, yes, that's the whole point. He is "owning" the left lane forcing traffic to use the right hand lane to overtake.
If he was keeping left, as per prowla's interpretation, some drivers might be tempted to try to squeeze past in the left lane with traffic to the right of them.0
