Morning All, off to Dads for family get together about to have a 30 mins manic clean up (place is a tip!) before we leave at 11 .... will update later

I've had insurance before - my most expensive, range cooker and american freezer as the parts and labour are expensive and the freezer pump has gone twice already since we've had it - i wouldn't bother with washing machine as these are cheap to replace

ps the cover i have is that it becomes too expensive to fix it will be replaced with new

Jazee, she's gorgeous! How are you going to get anything done over the next few months?!

Bossy, you ran out of chocolate?:eek::eek::eek: No wonder you had wobbly legs. Happy sixth birthday to Miss Moo and I hope you all enjoy your day and that you've organised plenty of chocolate to keep you going.

I wouldn't be without my cordless vacuum cleaner for the world. I got rid of the the other one when I realised I never used it any more. I plan carpet sucking around the fact that I know I only have a 20 minute charge and can't do any more - what a pity. ;)

I hope the weekend is shaping up to feeling more peaceful in the Frizzle Household. *calm and happy family* vibes heading your way.

Valli, the dusting and the vacuumming will wait. You're focussing on the important things in life. (((hugs)))

ATB If you've got top of the range white goods bought brand sparkling new I can understand the temptation to get extended warranties or appliance cover. We buy pretty much everything preloved or reconditioned and found a great handyman who beetles round when we ring him, fixes things and charges us a fraction of what the profiteering companies who are milking customers dry. It also keeps money in the local economy. I think the only thing I've ever bought new is an oven which cost an arm and a leg to fix when it was 13 years old but is still going strong three years later.

The chappie who sells English fruit on Royal Parade was selling 300g boxes of strawberries two for a pound yesterday so I'm up to my armpits in microwave strawberry jam. The house smells lovely.

Lodger out today, another new one in tonight, so a room to turn around, house to titivate and a huge pile of laundry to do before the weather turns vile again. Then back to jam.
    Better is good enough.

A very Happy birthday to young Miss Bossy and hope she's enjoying the day :D

I'm sofa-surfing after dailies, shopping, putting away, cooking DH's lunch, watering the pots and planters and WUDUPA. Just going to make a cuppa and do my Spanish practice.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon all

Hugs, sticks, spoons and vibes to all. Its taken me 5 hours to read since my last post due to interruptions so I can't remember what I wanted to say.

DD has cleaned all her leather shoes/boots, and got all her school stuff ready for Wednesday....then told me she does actually need a few other things so we'll go get those tomorrow ;)

Meanwhile I've been busy dealing with a batch of blackberries DD brought home from her grandparents. She foraged them with her granddad Thursday morning. Plan is to freeze them and use them in crumbles over the winter :D I've also been working my way through a whole list of computer based jobs which needed to be done. As much as I enjoy having DD home, I can't wait for her to go back to school on Wednesday when I can be more productive and get back into a proper routine. Not being in one I'm forgetting all sorts of things.

Just waiting on a Mr A delivery to arrive then I'll get stuck in to finish the jobs I have on my list. I wouldn't normally have a delivery on a Sunday as its more expensive, but I wanted to make sure I had time to buy anything that was out of stock before DD goes back to school.

Any none urgent cleaning can wait, I plan on getting stuck in properly on Thursday ;)

I have managed one of my Toots list jobs - to check my herbs and spices against the list. The list is typed (on a spreadsheet for alphabetical sorting) and names the herb/spice and state (eg cinnamon ground). I keep a printout inside the cupboard door so I can check what I have in (very useful when 3 of us cook). List now ready to take to be printed (my printer is not recognised and I haven't got round to sorting it). All I need to do now is drop it on memory stick.

    Gilly - hope you're ok.

Little moo has had a lovely day, thanks for the messages. She's sat here in pjs wearing some beautiful new wings made by MIL, they are quilted, fabric ones and all sequinned and just divine! Plus a new watch :)

Party was a great success, cake was much admired and everything went swimmingly - except parking as there was a football gala on that no-one had warned the dance school about, blocking entry

We need to find homes for some gifts, and I've now emptied the LR of furniture and took all pics down etc.

Tonight I need to remove all the picture hooks and fill the holes - we agreed I'd do that - she said just slap it on and she'll sand it, but it just means she can crack straight on and not wait for it to dry. Oh and I need to take the blinds down.

Probably not much flying tomorrow or Tuesday as we are a bit upside down, but from Wednesday they are back in school and I shall be getting this place sorted!!!

Evening all. No decorating happened as DD and her fiance turned up and took me and LittleyDog out to lunch. Then when I got back decided just to relax and chat with DH (until he watched football that is).

HB - I only have till next weekend to get all the decorating finished. Just sorting out the damage OldDog did in her last few weeks, and now a new puppy coming in. I don't think much flying will get done either.

Right time to cuddle LittleyDog. See you all on the new thread.
