I can't see Frankie and Benny's on the SW website topgirl.

The menus do tell you the lowest calorie options. So probably prawn cocktail followed by steak and salad or a spaghetti pomodoro minus the mozzarella (unless you count that as a HEA). would be goodish choices. :)

I've spent the afternoon pottering in the kitchen. HB steak is all done, just need to thicken it up on the hob when I'm ready. Red cabbage is all prepped and I'll put that in a low oven this evening.

Thank you! Missed this yesterday :o

I think I'm going to go with the seafood thing MrsP suggested and just write off my syns for the day. I have an email for a free main course so it'll be MSE friendly too :rotfl:

Well, I slept in until almost midday :o need to get out of this habit sharpish, I'm back at work next Wednesday!

B/D) Mushroom and egg hash and baked beans and a large glass of diet lemonade.

    T) SW lasagne (HEXA) and a salad.

BM will be a walk to the Asda for the Quark.

Black dog day today I think, hence the long sleep. So I'm going to put on a shedload of makeup and straighten my hair and fake it til I make it. Doctors tomorrow so I'll have a chat with them whilst I'm there.

Lantanna We certainly can! I don't want to be skinny skinny (and wine and crisps will probably ensure it'll never be a concern!) just healthy.

Happy Bank Holiday all, hope everyones enjoying it.

STS this week, no surprise that I didn't achieve my target - don't think that I've ever done it on this challenge :rotfl::eek:

    Top Girl and lantanna

Me three. I'm never going to be tall and willowly, well I'm not tall and realistically I'm not built to be skinny...

I'm going for 7lbson this challenge please Shala - 4.5lbs to target which will be 6 stone or a third of my body weight off and a few pounds to get to the lower end of target but this still leaves me with a BMI of 26.5 which isn't ideal. So, depending on how I feel I might reset my target for half a stone or so lower, we'll see ;)

I've done SW online from the start, being fairly antisocial the thought of whole group thing made my toes curl (maybe unfairly) and there were no groups locally at a convenient time. I don't really use it now and was going to unsubscribe at the end of July but wimped out and signed up for another 3 months. Probably won't subscribe again but I did find it very helpful especially in the beginning for recipes, food diary and syns.

Do you mind if I join you? I've started doing slimming world a few weeks ago and have so far lost 2 lb. I haven't signed up officially, just using my sisters old books. I'm not quite classed as overweight according to BMI charts but I am on the line between normal and overweight and my size 12 clothes are getting quite tight and I feel if I have to buy size 14s then I would have given in to getting fatter and also waste money as I hope to be comfy in my clothes again soon!

I would like to aim to loose 9lb before Halloween. 9lb would bring be to the middle of normal BMI.

    Today my meals are
B - Porridge made with water (HXB)
L - Banana, apple, plum, 2 boiled eggs (not my usual lunch as I really need to go shopping)
D - Not sure yet, DH and the kids want a takeaway so I will probably make tuna, pasta, tinned chopped tomatoes and sweetcorn.
Snacks - In the evening I will have a frozen muller light and a curly wirly (6 syns?) Might even treat myself to a small glass of wine! (guessing around 8 syns)
HXA is the milk I use for tea and coffee throughout the day.

I usually have a better lunch of tuna/chicken/egg salad. Dinners have been slimming world spag bol/curry/chilly/baked potatoes. Need to look up some more ideas and go shopping!

It definitely is and I'm sure lois agrees with you.:)

I went out to get my train ticket in advance today so called into Lidl. Canteloupe/galia melons were 59p and a decent size too. Disappointingly, the large jars of cornichons have disappeared.:( What they have now is just large jars of big gherkins like Aldi and very small jars of small cornichons (like the French extra-fines) at an inflated price. It might be worth looking out for own brand ones in France denise or maybe Lidl still do them there.

Those might be olives with the chicken tweets but then it wouldn't be free?? Is it a carton of curry sauce. I'm not a fan myself but I can see that if you could freeze in small portions it could be useful. We'll wait for your reviews, usually far better than SW's own ones.:)

Tomorrow I'm going to London to see the display of the Queen's clothes. Will be eating out with my friend so after breakfast, SW on back burner until Wednesday.:o
  • My slow cooker has a crack in the pot :( fakeaway kebab in the oven it goes!

I'm not overly convinced that beef will taste as nice as lamb! :undecided
