Of course in the film version, OP would meet demented daddy and it would turn out that underneath his hi-vis jacket and awful personality is a kind heart and a set of rock hard abs. They will fall head over heels in love over his clipboard - It would be called "Completion of the heart" :rotfl:

No really I was thinking after everything the op has said that it was going to be bates motel but with daughter carrying around the remains of her long departed daddy dearest!!!!

Just read that back sounds a bit sinister but I would but nothing by them.
Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A

This is making me giggle because the husband has been told he looks like Daniel Craig before!

Guys, is it twisted that I'm actually a bit disappointed that we're now four days past the move and news of not one further demand has reached me yet?! I was almost looking forward to it!!! We went quite near the old house today (to the tip - joys of moving) and the husband really wanted to do a drive by but I was too scared ... :D

    Oh go on! Be brave!

Or ring up your old neighbour and see if there's any news?

Or give the EA and solicitor a ring. They might have been phoned by the munchkin, but just haven't told you! :D

They were probably electrocuted by the dodgy electrics last Friday and nobody will notice they're dead until a few weeks time when the postman delivering letters notices a bad smell coming through the letterbox...........

It's those dangerous electrics of [STRIKE]yours [/STRIKE]er.. theirs.

One touch of a light switch, and they're both   and fixed to the spot.

Just a thought about the £90 cheque and the suggestion that the electrics check may never happen, do you know the name of the electrician? If so, leave the cheque made payable to him.
    Exactly what I've done ;);)

Let us know if the electrician pays the cheque in!

Yes I'm still not clear whether the £90 got paid twice by mistake - the cheque as well as the solicitor's completion statement.

I can confirm there were no flickering lights ... They were mostly just not working at all after I shook all the bulbs :rotfl::rotfl:

Only once - the solicitor didn't include it in the completion monies as the buyer's solicitor insisted on a cheque. No sign of it being cashed yet ...
