She's probably trying to post, but the swear filter's preventing her.

Red light now. I really do hope it has gone ahead, and she's too busy to update here.

It's either gone ahead, and she's doing last minute packing, or it didn't go ahead and she's hit the gin would be my guess.

Keep checking in for updates. Really hope it has all gone through. Nothing worse than being left in limbo. Fingers, arms, legs and anything else I can cross for you.
Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A
  • I love how invested everyone is in this and we're all rooting for the OP. I hope they have managed to exchange but on the other hand if the buyer is this bonkers then maybe it would be a good thing if they found someone else to save stress until completion.

Either way I am hoping it works out well for them. No one deserves these shenanigans!

I wonder if the buyer messed up the notice on the rental.

Finding out where she lived should be easy if same street and have a name.
  • And .... We've exchanged :D:D

It's been a day of epic proportions ... Daddy has been on the phone to my solicitor in tears ... He just wanted the best for his little girl. Wish I'd been a fly on that wall ... Or maybe a large killer wasp.

The creep made a last ditch attempt to get me to knock £5k off the price :mad: But we have exchanged at the agreed price.

For anyone who still cares about the electrician - clearly now out of the question before tomorrow and my solicitor has just told me that the other side have not actually put the request in writing so legally I don't have to do a thing. However I've always found the moral high ground a good place to be so I'm making an allowance of £90 to the buyer to pay for the electrical test after she moves in and that's my parting shot. Other than the fact that I've just sent the husband to the tip with the curtains I'd intended to leave for her. ;)

Me too. You've all been brilliant. Only just read the posts about me being kidnapped/ on the gin - giggling like a fool! :D
