That's the point where I won't deal with her anymore although I bet she'll make another offer on the house!!!0

I've been following this sorry tale. Good luck for today."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Good luck for today, although if you weren't in such a rush to get into your new place I'd be tempted to tell them to do one anyway. Sounds like they'll be trouble right up until completion and then after, although that's their problem then.
Hoping for a quick resolution for you whether it be exchange with the psychos today or that you can find another quick and reliable buyer very soon.0 -

How come? Do you mean you cannot proceed at all, or you cannot proceed with completion still on Friday?0 -
Good luck today OP, have also been following this closely. Good karma does happen so keep the faith.Pants0

Just wanted to wish you luck.
I've had 6 months of hell and nonsense with two teachers buying my dads house (for care home fees) and they managed to have to change solicitors (the first one couldn't take any more), and they have reduced my solicitor, their new solicitor, the estate agent and me to quivering wrecks.....ye Gods.😳😳😷
They had surveys for everything, and queried things I didn't know you could query lol
On and on its gone.
Finally, they started again last Monday, saying they wanted hotel bills paid if I didn't exchange on Thursday, and complete Friday. It had just dawned on them they had new teaching jobs to start soon. I have been ready to complete for weeks, so hotel requests got swiftly dispatched lol
They asked me to leave any furniture I hadn't yet cleared, which I did.
We exchanged Thursday, and completed Friday - their removal men were there trying to get in before completion, which was chaos. 🙄🙄
Cracked a bottle or two Friday that they were gone from my life lol.....then heard from my solicitor on Monday that they are angry I hadn't left them a washer/dryer, which I hadn't said I would, and they want me to buy them one.......er, no. 🙄🙄
Jeez, some people, but really hope it goes well for you today.
Lin 😉You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -

I just laughed out loud at that:D:D
Hoploz - yes, sorry I meant that if we can't exchange by noon we can't complete tomorrow. After that we'd have real difficulty completing next week unless I cancel a major work commitment and the vendors are on holiday the next week, etc etc so we haven't discussed any dates later than tomorrow and the buyer has been aware of all this and claimed tomorrow also suited her best to avoid another month's rent.
Lin - I'm gobsmsmacked at your situation. I send sympathy and a hug. Selling in such a situation is so distressing anyway (I was involved in the sale of my grandparents' house three years ago when they couldn't manage anymore after one had a major stroke and the other a triple heart bypass in the same month), so those people are utter b*stards to take advantage of you :mad:0 -
I am counting down the minutes: it is now 10 minutes to 12 (exchange cut off point). Can't wait for the next exciting episode but I do hope it's good news. We're cheering you on Lichfield22"The problem with Internet quotes is that you can't always depend on their accuracy" - Abraham Lincoln, 18640
