Love and hugs to everyone, especially Valli.

I have had visitors who sobbed even when I didn't. That was tricky.

    Bottom welded to sofa.

DD2 and her DH are having a new bathroom installed. They were told at lunchtime that the toilet may not be plumbed in by tonight. DD2 is unimpressed.

    Hope everyone is okay.

No! Can't believe they are being left without a loo CY, that why we had ours done while we were away. Plumber suggests it as he's a friend but in any case he'd have done the loo first so if nothing else that would be working, he did mils and made sure she was left with a plumbed in loo, she just had to flush with a bucket over the first night.
    Hope it's fixed ASAP

I think visiting will be hard today from the emotional PoV - if she's weepy I shall be. But part of the process, I suppose. .

It isn't the same I know, but I went to visit a friend in hospital hours after he'd lost both legs in an accident. I looked at him and we both burst into tears. I consider it a privilege that he made it easy for me as who knows the best thing to say in that situation and I was dreading seeing him for the first time. If you can cry together it can make you stronger, or at least better than both feeling the need to hold it in and resulting in a difficult, stilted conversation or silence. Love to you both.

Msgnomey condolences and hugs for you.

Come back from sitting in garage 2hrs; car still not sorted and will need to go in again, and cost money (today's investigation was free as it so closely followed an expensive service). We don't need this just before our holiday. I think discussion time will come soon; I need something reliable for at least the next year while I have the uni contract, and it looks as if - sadly - our 2005 car has got to the age that "things" may happen. Or indeed, are happening.

Went to zumba this morning and did a load of work on the laptop while I was at the garage. Lunch now as I'm starving!

(((Hugs))) to Msgnomey and family - so sorry for your loss.

(((Hugs))) to Valli and sis xx

I have flown hard today. What's gone is done: I still have to
    - backup main PC
    - set up the laptop
    - do half an hour tidying the back garden
    - have a quick read through 150 pages of DS2's dissertation to get the gist of it before doing the proper proof read[STRIKE] tomorrow[/STRIKE] probably not until Sunday now

We have an early start tomorrow, going to London to pick up DGS1+2. I will take the dissertation to read on the train - there is free on-board WiFi so I will be keeping an eye on everyone :p

    Evening all

Bossy - I see you're enjoying your holiday

Dizzy - you're definitely not a bad person. I would set up an emergency fund - if a reasonable amount get some advice first.

Valli - lots of hugs. Brilliant news and congrats to your DS

Mrs MP - well done with all the tidying and be careful for a few more days

LW - I agree to make sure you get references. I'm sure you have a record of all the dogs you've looked after as well. You sound like the ideal person for any dog-sitting service to use. Good luck and fingers xd you keep having dogs in your world.

msgnomey - huge condolences to you and the family. Take things slowly and don't wear yourself out trying to do it all at once.

CY - pleased to see you're still on the sofa and hope slowly improving

Narco - sorry to hear about your car problems. I understand completely as we have an 'older' car and DH has to have one to get to work, so your heart's in your mouth when things go wrong. Hope you get it sorted quickly

Dancemum - Happy Birthday for your DS t/m and hope he has a super day

Iona - Hope you have a great trip t/m and no delays

Magical Monday - Living Room and hall
Vacuum all carpets, mop or sweep
    Shake the doormat outside
    Vacuum soft furnishings

    Twinkling Tuesday - Bathroom Bliss
    Extras
    Mop the bathroom floor

Wishy Washy Wednesday - Kitchen Kapers - Did Monday
    Clean the floor

Hugs, vibes, sticks and spoons to all needing some
Hope you all have a great Wednesday
