Tuesday's list is up - enjoy!
I haven't particularly flown at home today, although I have done washing and ironing. Went into work, with DD, to prep for next term. My jobshare was there as was a former colleague and great friend so it was definitely a case of many hands and the room looks *almost* ready. DD backed boards - I think she likes doing it, she's far more agile than any of us and made a good job. I *almost* finished putting together the art I did on transition day (was thinking on my feet there as I wasn't meant to be in but colleague was sick) and was rather thrilled to find Kandinsky lettering on a website which matches the artwork perfectly!
Shan't be flying much tomorrow, other than to visit my sister (on my own, to give mum a break) in the afternoon. Think the news is sinking in and she's not too good IYSWIM.
On the way home we called into Mr T and I got a 14" ham and pineapplie pizza (my favourite lol) for 58p. Was going to freeze it whole but have actually thought it through, sliced it into quarters and frozen it like that - there will be no waste, it will do me four meals...what a bargain!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Evening all,
A good weekend had with BIL visiting, we caught up with him and some old friends we haven't seen for a while. However I'm now shattered with the stress of having a house guest (I don't sleep for some reason).
Anyway, full day of paid stuff, dailies sort of done, plus drove to mum and dads this evening as they are looking after dds tomorrow.
Valli thanks for the list. I'm going to look at the death list. My parents are fairly healthy at the moment, but are nearly seventy. We need to plan. Going to talk to OH too.0 -

I hate nature!
Seriously what am I doing here
Out for a stroll as the squawking is annoying me and awning so full of condensation that its dripping on me.
Rather than disturb everyone I've gone out. It's just about light so hoping to see a proper sunrise.
Seagulls are going bananas - like a bunch of sirens lol.
Foster kids have nits so I had to comb 5 last night, to make sure they don't spread to the rest of us.
And I want my own bathroom lol.

As you were!Bossymoo

Morning all
Back from our break away. DH now working away for the foreseeable, kids driving me round the bed with incessant bickering, and house a bit of a tip - nothing new there then!
We caught up with some jobs yesterday and did the school shoes shop  so I've promised the children a trip to soft play today. I am doing childcare for some friends tomorrow - 6 kids in my charge all day, the wine is already chilling for when they've all gonedoes it make me a wicked person to be thinking roll on September?!
The death list is excellent. I am a will writer and the relief my customers feel once they have sorted their wills and powers of attorney is immense and it really doesn't take much time at all.
Best make a cuppa, online shopping coming soon.
Have lovely days all xxMFW

Morning all. Hope you got your sunrise with some peace and quiet Bossy. I take it you're camping, or *gulp* on a caravanning holiday _pale_
I have my site meeting to negotiate the settlement of the build claim today. Wish me luck as the estimates from builders are six-figure sums. Tea and cake out with friends this morning though, to calm my nerves...
I also have a moral dilemma. Not sure what to do and hoping for some advice from sensible heads. I received a cheque yesterday from my BiL (from my first marriage) who was the executor of my MiL's will. It seems three Santander accounts have risen from the dust and a huge chunk of money has appeared. He has shared it between the beneficiaries and mine arrived in the post with a little letter. Now, this cheque could clear DH's debts in one swoop, but I'm hesitating in telling him I've got it. Am I a bad person? Please bear in mind I've already cleared about £45K for him. And he is shocking with money. And I want a financial cushion for my boys....*cry*...What should I do?0 -
Morning all. Glad you're having a nice time Bossy haha, hope the sunrise made up for it.
Also up early here as I had a training session with the guys in Australia.
Now going to do some jobs from the list before starting paid stuff proper.
Finally lifted the hall carpet yesterday, so decorating will start in earnest tonight.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Dizzy, posts crossed. Put it in a trust fund for the boys.Spend less now, work less later.0

Dizzy honey that's a tricky one. I'll give it some thought and come back later. Hope the site visit goes well with a suitable outcome xxMFW

Dizzy. I have been married for 33 years and God love him my DH is hopeless with money. A few years ago I paid off his overdraft but he ran it up again pretty quickly. Although paying off debts may seem to be the sensible thing unless you can trust him not to overspend again it's a pointless exercise.
It's your money - put it away for the boys. It may be worth paying a few hundred for advice from an IFA if it's a pretty reasonable sum x0
