Thinking about it as one massive job is what we do when we're overwhelmed by it, and it's honestly not one big thing that has to be dealt with all at once, it's a series of tiny things that are, individually, fairly straightforward.
Mr LW's favourite way of looking at this sort of thing is "How do you eat an elephant? - In small bites.":D

He made the mistake of admitting he had nothing to do - so I've sent him into the kitchen to cook the veggie sausages for tonight's dins (we have them cold with salad in this weather).:D

Looks like I won't be painting today, housework is taking ages. I've done the next lot, except for the bill paying :

[STRIKE]W on and clear kitchen again
    Poo pick
    Empty all house bins
    Dust in hallway
Put away guest bedding (from last week)
Put all the carp that shouldn't be in the LR
    Dust LR
    hoover LR[/STRIKE]
Check if I paid the Milkman
    Pay credit card
    [STRIKE]Ring pool about DD2 changing swimming lessons[/STRIKE]

    Right, next lot :

    HHI
    Remake our bed
    Tidy bedroom
    Hoover bedroom and corridor
Get children to tidy their bedroom floor
    Hoover their bedroom.
    Make tea.
    And relax!

    Afternoon all

We've had 3 action-packed, fun-filled days with the DGC (despite our scavenger hunt being rained off yesterday - we only just had time to eat lunch before the heavens opened - so we took them all to a soft play place instead) and have returned DGS 1+2 to their mother this afternoon. My DD will be 40 on Tuesday so we had a proper afternoon tea party at the patisserie on Marylebone station to celebrate. It's all been lovely but DH and I are now enjoying the peace and quiet on the train.

I cleared the boys' bedroom and returned it to its normal use as my study this morning, so my list for today and tomorrow *only* includes
    - WM x2
    - food shopping (16 visitors for lunch tomorrow)
    - clean bathroom, ensuite and workmen's loo
    - clean LR and DR
    - clean kitchen
    - prepare lunch
    - clear up afterwards
    - and relaxxxxxxxx :)

DH is of course playing trains from 8:00 am!!!

Hugs, spoons and sticks to all in need x

So I've had a fight with the window film. I'm not sure either of us entirely won, they were large sheets to cover a rather wide patio door, and they are most definitely attached, albeit with a couple of tiny tears. They looked horrendous at first but now they are drying it's improved. Just a plain frosted effect. Having checked from the outside, it definitely affords more privacy - but still allows plenty of light in. Was hard work though...

I just need some new blinds in here but I'll wait till schools are back.

Bit untidy with camping stuff / shoes / washing but we're getting there.

No flying done today, but I'm exhausted. Stitches out, waded through possible options and finally have ds2 sorted with something he's happy with so he feels a lot better than he did 24 hours ago. This afternoon went for a walk with him and got his part item job finalised as his passport arrived so he had the Id they needed. Also went past his 'old' school on way home, stated a teacher he did DOE bronze with last year and she's finally got his paperwork sorted so his cert for that is in the system. Had a talk with him and he's got a media project to do over the weekend so his Ncs stuff will be complete and he's going to do the paperwork for his euro health travel thing. Work have agreed to pay for my teaching assistants course so will sort that after bank hol. Did epi pen refresher this morning.
Now I've done a list I feel better as its a few frogs gone so at least something achieved.

    Have a good weekend all

Plan to do a CS run tomorrow as we've a few bags to clear.

-[STRIKE]Prune down the path at the side of the garden[/STRIKE]
    - plant out anything that is still in a pot or tray, whether there is room or not, Started, but how have I got so many?
    - [STRIKE]prune fruit bushes[/STRIKE] and tie in new growth of loganberries

    Well that took forever.
Also: managed to sort out next (hopefully last) bit of car work - garage have agreed to collect it while we are away and return it before we get back.
    - paid off visa bill now web site recovered
    - bought train tickets to Heathrow, web site said £80 for the 2 of us return  but nice man at ticket office found alternative route for £50. Just need to ask friend to take us to station.
    - visited friend who's just had an op
    - picked up some odds and ends at L1dl
    - rang friend I've been meaning to catch up with for ages
    - cancelled milk as we seem to have loads of the stuff

    Guess that's about it.

Bossy we went to an outlet village this morning too. It too had children having their feet measured outside and bungee bouncing. We found 1 pair of shoes for ds2 it was Buy one get one half price but they didn't have any more in his size.

Mrs MP glad ds2 is happier today. X

Dancepops had a fall today, ended up at a&e but is home now bruised and battered.

Morning all. Busy day planned today to include some garden flying hopefully. It's another charity day though and later I will be doing a workout for an hour in a shop window.

    Have a great day everyone.
