Ryanair! Swines!

Ok i know there is probably a million threads about ryanair and how pants they are on here but they have annoyed me and i need some advice too!

I booked one of their mega cheap flights out to Slovenia it cost me a total of 4p! which i thought was brilliant, however i didn't realise that this meant i would only be allowed to take hand luggage onto the plane! at a maximum of 10kg,

so firstly i now have to pay £10 each way for an item of luggage whereas if i had realised or understood at the time of booking this would have only been £5 each way.

Now im totally fine with paying the £20 or whatever as it will still be a mega cheap flight and well worth it, but i now have to ring their baggage line which is advertised on the web page as 10p per minute, ok thats not too bad, i think to myself,

rang the number only for it to speil off about 2 minutes of information about going to spain, then when i chose the correct options to get to the baggage people it cut me off!

rang again and got through all the options only to be told to ring a different number now as they have changed it which is charged at a whopping £1 per minute!

downright theft that is!

my question is do i just turn up at the airport and pay for luggage there or will they rip me off even more?! anyone else had similar experiences?

Thanks,

Will...

Am still not seeing why they are 'swines' for something that is clearly the fault of the OP ...

Another one to add to the list of people that fail to read the terms and conditions?!

Some people will blame anyone rather than take blame themselves for a mistake that was clearly their own doing.

Really, that is unduly harsh. If they make you call a premium-rate number, surely they should answer immediately rather than making you pay to listen to irrelevant information. And charging you a pound per minute to make a payment is really not fair.

Say what you like (mainly expletives) about Ryanair but their website is the height of clarity - except for working out how to remove "optional" fees

I wonder if OP has paid one of the optional fees without realising it or if they now will have to pay for airport check-in because they will have a checked bag
  • its like watching that easyjet airline programme but just text on here, the travellers !!!! it up and then start moaning and slagging the airline off, when it was their own fault

4p flights and the traveller calls ryanair pants and swines

    the worlds gone mad

He was kept on hold on the 10p a minute recorded information line, not on the £1 a minute number.
