Yes I am sure we do know our portion sizes , and so what if we may/ may not get it right all the time , at least we are trying ....£223/ £250 GC0

Hence my personal exclusion of juice, smoothies, bananas, sweetcorn and mushrooms to the tally. It make me focus on foods that I know that I should be eating find less easy to consume. (See the OP!).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Onwards and upwards ...
Yesterday from what I can remember ,
Banana breakfast
Grapes about 120gm( if anyone cares :rotfl: ) snack 60gm is 1 approx serving size
Followed by a pear, then supper dinner at 7 ish of a mini wrap and 1 large tomato.
then supper about 10 30 of a crumpet with 12 mustrooms ( dry fried) on and some baby corn on the cob
So 2 fruit 3 veg
all my food is logged down on a app as I eat it , half the reason I am doing this is for years ,way to many to recall I have eaten maybe not the wrong foods but definitely at the wrong time , typical day being , up at 7 ish , out by 8 30 , no food at all till about 4 ,then maybe a sandwich ...sometimes , main meal at anywhere between 8 30 and 10 30 ....really struggle to eat during the day , hence why I only now have fruit till 5 ish .... even then it's about 11 when I have the first bit ...£223/ £250 GC0 -
Ok so today, normal weekend
4 30 ish a large hand full of baby corn and tomato salsa then a apple
Supper large half a plate of red and white cabbage, cucumber and red onion , plus 3 slices of veggi pizza .
So 1 fruit about 4 veg£223/ £250 GC0 -
Yesterday I had an apple for lunch and thai red chicken curry for dinner with broccoli and carrots.
Totals yesterday: 2:1.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

A bit dismal this weekend! Yesterday 0:4.5 (but little else), and today just 1:2!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Can I count the cranberries in the white choc and cranberry cookies as a portion? I did eat a lot of cookies
If not then yesterday was a very poor 2 veg : 0 fruit
Today isn't faring much better either. Fruit with yoghurt for breakfast, Grapes as a snack, there may be a portion of veg in the moussaka we're having tonight but I don't think today's tin of soup counts as one.
1 veg : 2 fruit
Now the weather's turning cooler, I'm less likely to want a salad at lunch and opt for soup instead. So I'm losing out on my veg intake. I will eventually get into a better routine of making my own soup rather than shop bought once Autumn is definitely upon us. As soft fruits get more expensive I'll probably cut back on fresh fruit too.
Does anyone else find the season affects their daily intake of 5 a day?0 -
Yes, me too - I am making myself have salad with my soup, otherwise my totals will be very low from now on. I do find it a bit easier now that I don't *usually* eat bread.
Yesterday I had crispy chilli beef for dinner with salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, grated carrot, spring onion) and falafel burgers with more falafel burgers for lunch... sometimes my batch cooking has a smaller yield than one might expect. I had an orange for supper.

Today I had leftover chili beef with salad for lunch; this evening I wasn't hungry but had a banana and orange for supper.
