I've been away from this thread as I've been travelling for work (hard to find vegetables, but I did my best!), then away for the weekend for my dad's birthday (ditto) and then in bed with a filthy cold and chest infection (not eating much generally - although chicken stock with noodles and either spinach or broccoli once a day means I've had a reasonable proportion of veg in my diet!).
I'm hoping that I'm on the mend now - today's goal is to manage to have a shower if I can stand up for that long. And I've defrosted some 'green' soup.
I have lots of veggies in the fridge which need eating, as I stocked up on my way home at the weekend, so its frustrating thinking they might go to waste.0 -
I'm feeling a bit better today bloat-wise. 2:2 only and I got my carbs from bananas rather than wheat.
I weighed my portions and had actually prepared 4 servings of salad veg, but decided to halve my plate so the rest is in the fridge for tomorrow.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I had poached fish and ratatouille(350g) for lunch; some cashews. a banana and the end of the chocolate mousse with some berries for supper.
Today's totals: 4:1I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

Your gut bacteria need to adapt to the new diet, so you should be increasing the fruit and veg gradually. Cutting out 'brown' carbs may also help, but any sudden change is likely to cause problems.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Happens to a lot of people. I don't eat that much of it, but know I don't have a problem unless I have vast amounts. I also find meat a problem in significant quantities. I'm best adapted to eat vegetables, pulses and a small amount of grains.
Feeling MUCH better today, so starting with half and avocado on toast and a fruit smoothie. Hopefully I'll continue to feel better...0 -
Well yesterday I managed 7 portions.
Breakfast: Goats yogurt and strawberries 1

Huge improvement today.
Avocado on toast and smoothie for breakfast (2)
Green soup for lunch (at about 3.30pm...) (3)
Veggie burger, sweet potato, baked tomatoes, roasted peppers and spinach for supper (7)
Much more how I like to eat, so hopefully it'll keep on improving and I'll eat the vegetables that I filled the fridge up with last weekend! I have a feeling I'll be making carrot soup though. There are a LOT of carrots!0 -
Today has been much better, 2:5 (but the fruit wasn't sweet).
Have planned for at least 3 veg tomorrow.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
