Yes, I guess that would do it.

Ideally don't want anyone's PMI's to show they have problems with their economies. A good eurozone is good for the UK, under the current circumstances at least.
I hope we have a trade deal in future so we can continue to share in each others success.0 -
What on earth is the point in a second EU referendum?
What if the result is the same? Or it's 4% in the favour of remain? (Instead of leave?)
We will have to have another one, as the margin won't be big enough.
(I assume this is why people want another one, because the margin isn't big enough?')
If there WAS another referendum, I would never vote again as long as I live.
There won't be though.Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!

Congratulations on the most purile post in the thread. Still does not answer the question.
If you look at the result of the thread poll, it seems that there are things the EU could do which might change the mind of quite a few people.
It was a simple question!Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

I agree that there won't be another referendum on this. In fact I doubt that the UK will ever hold another referendum on any subject ever again. Referendums are meant to support the view of the Government or paper over cracks in in the Government Party unity (as was this one and the previous 1975 EEC one). In practice this one has demonstrated the very worst behaviours on both sides.
This debate is not helped by people like yourself who imply a second referendum is about re-running the decision of the first.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. A prime example of mindless shivering Bremain mentality on display in the TV hews this evening. The new multi billion world beating London Crick centre opened and they managed to find a cowering Bremaier who said Brexit means a loss of £10m of potential EU funding . Oh no how will we cope, ahhhgg, close the doors, we give up, an impassable obstacle without solution, lol
We went to all the trouble and money of building this scientific Collosus, but will just give up and not manage to find a small sum of funding, doohhh0 -

Its a fair point but until the Government say that funding will be provided to support such research after Brexit there is bound to be questions raised.
As I understand it, the Government has said that any committed EU sponsored funding will be honoured. Logically, post Brexit, the contributions we previously made to the EU should be enough to maintain the funding although I think this was one of the areas where we gained more from the common funding than we contributed.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. how long was the EU funding guarenteed for ?
do you have a reference for the opinion that funding from the EU fund was weighted in favour of the UK
can you say how much of this funding went to UK citizens and how much to EU citizens (while working in the UK)0 -

Research has to have a quantifiable output. The EU currently doesn't have adequate controls in place to monitor the effective use of what is taxpayers money. Though is belatedly tightening down. There is huge waste and misappropriation in terms of day to day spend.0
