Colleagues saying I am annoying them

You don't get it, do you? You have just confirmed that you haven't been in this employment for very long. You are annoying your colleagues and getting complaints to the manager. How long do you think it will be before someone is coming to replace the fact that you left?Alison1981 wrote: »A few new people are coming because a few people left before I came so they are only just getting around to filling those roles again. No ones jobs are going anywhere.
But really, after what you did to that other new poster, I find it hard to care. I'm out.0 -

Because your colleagues are collectively unhappy about a situation, that if you do not change your habits after your boss has requested you do, then dismissal is not impossible. If you have been there less than two years, you can pretty much be dismissed on a whim.0 -
First of all I have been there 2 years and 3 months and another thing I did not come on here to be ridiculed and threatened that I could lose my job. I will say this again, the jobs in my office are all safe we are all permanent, not temps PERMANENT.
I am not a bully in response to the other new poster, I was buillied all through school and I would not do that to another person.
I will not be returning to this forum as you are not very friendly and welcoming. I came on here for advice not to be attacked and be called Impulse Alison 1981.

I also had another thought amongst all this is Alison hitting her targets or KPI's.
Suspect so.
We are not totally in a culture of so and so face does not fit, thankfully. Especially if their work is of any quality.

When you use a scent every day, your system stops smelling it, so you apply a little more so you can smell it, and your brain compensates again... until you're using enough to gas a sett of badgers but can barely register it yourself. This is probably happening here - to you, you're lightly fragrant, and to your colleagues you're strongly perfumed!
The key is to mix it up, use a different scent IN SMALL AMOUNTS each day, you'll smell it, your colleagues will too, but it won't choke them. I experimented with this using Arabic perfumes (some amazing smells, but quite potent), after a while you can not notice a scent you're wearing which other people register before you even enter a room!0 -

True. I remember I once changed my fabric conditioner and couldn't smell it on my clothes at all, but everyone else was walking around asking me why I smelt like furniture polish! I switched to unscented straight away!
The thing is with the OP (if not a troll) no amount of perfume should be used to cover up the smell of sweat. She says she sprays it on her sweaty feet. Feet that smell REALLY smell and adding cheap body spray to the mix will not help at all. And why the hell are they taking their shoes off in the office! Blerg! Using a foot antiperspirant in the morning and changing socks at lunchtime would be a better idea.0 -
OP you've had people ask you to stop. You've asked on here if they are being petty and EVERYONE has told you no tgey aren't. That any aerosol makes many people cough and choke, is unpleasant to most people irrespective of whether it's a nice smell or not, and that you can end up making people with medical conditions like asthma very sick. Yet you plan to continue doing so rather than going outside or to the ladies. That doesn't make you a nice or considerate person does it?Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

If you carried on spraying around me with an attitude like that, you'd be wearing that can of impulse in a way you wouldn't think possible.

That is the post that did it for me.
It is not about smelling nice, it is about spraying that stuff in a confined space.
If you want to smell nice then do not spray anything on top of sweat, that is a sure way to make you smell awful. Fresh sweat doesn't smell bad, only stale sweat does and I doubt if you could sweat that much in a single day at work if you were clean when you started.0 -
In all fairness, the OP is annoying me and all i've done is read a couple of her posts so god help me if I had to work with her for several hours a day, 5 days a week!0
