Colleagues saying I am annoying them

My colleagues seem to think it's ok to spray deodorant in communal work areas as well.
I've never understood why as to me it's something that is more appropriate done in the toilets.
As for the OP, if I was doing something that annoyed them so much that they had continually asked me not to do it but I'd continued to do it, then I'm not surprised the boss has now got involved. I'm more surprised that the OP has got the hump about it.0 -
You need to speak to your GP about the excessive sweating for a start
You can get things like Sage Leaf from Holland and Barrett that can help
As far as spraying aerosol deodorant around in an office environment?
As others have said already, go to the bathroom and show a little bit more consideration for your work colleagues.0 -
I am allergic to spray deodorants, so would end up having a coughing/choking fit or even develop bad hayfever symptoms.
I always use stick or roll on stuff, and when I was working in an office used it before work at lunchtimes and just before going home - never in the presence of other people.
I think spraying smelly stuff on you is personal, like brushing your teeth, cutting your toenails or trimming your short and curlies:D
Indeed! Impulse is supposed to be sprayed on the skin on your body so is the OP lifting up their top in the office or doing that oh-so-attractive thing of rummaging around under their top to spray their armpits?! Lovely...0 -
I had a colleague who sprayed body spray in the office - the mist in the air was really horrible and caught in the throat. She of course stopped doing this when asked.
The thing to take into account is most people only mention things like this to people who are good friends or when it is truly unbearable. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Of course she did! Who on earth would carry on doing something like that after they'd be asked not to?!0 -
I spray it over my clothes and on my feet that's all. Some people need to get a life if they just complain about someone smelling nice. They have moved me away from the 2 women who complained about me anyway so I can still do it where I am now sat0

It's not about the way you smell, it's about the impact on their health. Spraying aerosols next to people without any ventilation is stupid and selfish. If you have a sweat problem, reasonable adjustments can be made to help you (such as relaxing the dress code if you're non-client facing - sandals for example might help during the day with keeping your feet cool) and proper antiperspirants (over the counter or prescribed) will tackle the problem rather than just mask it.0 -
Obviously the OP is never going to stop doing it is she?No buying unnecessary toiletries challenge started August 20160

You won't smell nice OP, I can promise you that.
Layering Impulse on top of clothes and sweaty feet is awful.
And how embarrassing, to be moved because you have anti-social habits.
Surely you'd rather think again?0 -

Not until the new term starts.0
