    You could post on the Air Travel board on Tripadvisor and see if you get different opinions (although I don't think you will). :)

    Monarch are no longer a charter airline. They relaunched as a low-cost operator last year. Similar ops to Easyjet, Ryanair and Jet2.

    If you could have got the same flights £120 cheaper with Easy or Ryan then thats what you should have done.

    Monarch were operating well priced scheduled services to the Mediterranean whilst Stelios was still a child, Ryanair were flying tiny props around Ireland and Jet2 were flying parcels in ancient heaps.

    The only difference is they finished all charter activites last year. But the scheduled operation had been larger than their charter one for some years...
