Today I scored a £10 ticket to see SIX in January. It is limited view seat but I am delighted. They went on sale at 12.00 and I remembered at 2.30. The only £10 ticket left for any of the performances. It is in the diary! Bargain.
Did a foodshop, also spent £8 on Lupins and Dianthus . They have been planted out already.
I have lost 6lbs since this time last week, I have picked up my year's worth of HRT 3 weeks before the annual prescription form ends, so 2 years for the price of one. Decent long dates on these ones.
Folded 3 baskets of laundry and returned it to the owners, I have seen all 4 of my progeny before 2pm.
Scored a Leedle box so for £2 there is a whole 🍉 one 🥭, one grapefruit, 10 🍊 , 3 🍋, 8 🥔, 2 🧅, 3 🥑, 20 🍓, a white cabbage, 4 🍎, one lettuce, a whole heap of radishes, and a garlic bulb. Woo hoo!
Bought celery, 🍅 and 🥒 and some frozen 🥦 for soup.
Very good day.

Down to £12 in the bank account. Child benefit comes in tomorrow so I am fine.
We have been without phone, broadband, and TV for 4 whole days. There is a fault somewhere outside the house affecting the area. It is very annoying. We have 2 tvs on the roof aerial, so my bedroom and the kitchen still have entertainment. The weather forecast is for West Midlands though, not East Midlands -which is fine if you live in Hereford ! Not so much use in LE.

We have similar weather issues in our house - downstairs (V1rg1n tv) we get SW news and weather. In my bedroom (aerial) we get WMid news and weather! 😁 Gloucester is (just!) In the SW, so I mich prefer the downstairs versions 😄

Deep in Exam season in our house. Hence my neglect of this stuff.
DS3 is half way through his T Level assessments in Business Management and Administration and DS4's GCSEs start on the last day (next Monday) of DS3s exams. They are very chill (still) about the whole thing. I am still a mess.
PB Fairy granted me £350 (thank you PB Fairy) and I managed to finish last month with an excess balance, so I filled up my little car with petrol ouch! £60 for my little old Micr4, it is now more expensive to fill up than it was under C0vidtimes. I have sacked off all my R/S accounts. It is not worth losing £250 a month for 12 months for £60 interest. I need to be able to access that money, not lock it away, so at my squirrelliest I was locking away £750+ a month, and now that can be shunted to the BUILD FUND which is currently sitting at £22k.
I am going to be shunting money left over at the end of the month from now on, rather than shunting money to savings at the start of the month. I don't have the head space for it.
July and September are filling up nicely with work. May, June and August are woeful. I might have to go and work the music festival circuit in those months. I am feeling constrained by exams and feeling the need to make sure they are all alright, not stressed, relaxed, etc.
Irish Passport is currently at day 14 of 'processing' which means they are probably trying to contact my witness. I hope they send my documents back soon. There is a whole community of people on B00kFace waiting for their passports - we are all tracking our statuses, and it is over running the time stated on the application page by a couple of weeks. Never mind, it will all be worth it. Summer is coming.

Half way through the weekend. I have done 2 loads of laundry and line dried them, and then dyed two nice shaped pairs of shorts - one knee length pair one calf length pair - black instead of the original colour.
I had planned to go to a local craft fair this morning, I stupidly offered to buy DH coffee and cake, so he said he wanted to come too, but then got a notification he had a parcel coming. So we waited, and another notification came that he had another parcel coming, so we waited, the first parcel came, the second parcel came, but it was not the one he had had the notification for, so again we waited, a third parcel came, nope, not that one either, eventually, at 3pm the 'second' parcel came, it was not worth going out as the cafe at the arts centre would not have had much left, so it was hummus and salad and pickles and crackers for lunch, and I baked half an apple strudel from the mysterious depths of the freezer. Zero £s spent today. I tried, honestly I did.
Last night I finished a book set in Greece just before the 1st World War about the poisoning of a cat in the (exiled) Ottoman Emperor's Harem(????? Hmmm). It is in the charity shop bag. Enough said.. I will start another one tonight.
Tomorrow's tasks will include baking another loaf of sourdough, baking some buns for lunch boxes, baking some potatoes ( at the same time as the sourdough) washing the kitchen floors, and stripping the middle floor beds and laundering them. After coffee, politics, and the rest of the strudel for breakfast.

Morning!
Nearly the end of May already, the heatwave continues, the sourdough starter is firmly in the fridge. It is taking less than 90 minutes from feeding, to it being double the size and ready to use. One loaf baked, another slowly proving in the fridge for baking this afternoon, and another ready to go tomorrow morning.
DS3 has another 2 weeks until he finishes his 210 hours of unpaid work placement. Then he is free for summer, so I am encouraging him to apply for all the bar staff jobs at local festivals and national music festivals. He might as well get fed, paid, and hear some decent music before he finds out his results.
DS1 still has not heard back from the NHS. Not sure the flippin job even exists. I have told him to get back on with his job search. This one cannot be relied on, if it happens, good. If not, he has a backup.
DS2 is still doing the bare minimum.
Dr FH is back from his congregation in small town Canada. Very grumpy - no decent coffee in Canada (???) limited food options (???) it seems the only thing his hotel could offer him was fruit salad (????) luckily his life was saved by finding a package of vegan cookies and a pot noodle - keeping it classy! Glad to have him back though.
