    As at 15.12.25:
    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £227,385
    - OPs to mortgage = £12,881 Estd. interest saved = £6,203 to date
    c. 16 months reduction in term
    Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

    Read 80 books of target 52 in 2025, as @ 25th December

    I don't know though, assuming he is USS and I've read right then his pension pot might come into estate/probate scope going forwards.  

    It'll depend if they count CETV I guess

    I don't think that USS will end up in the inheritance pot - CETV is the notional cash value of his future defined benefit income payments.  At the moment DH has passed there will be no pot to inherit.  Possibly if there is a minimum payment guarantee (eg 5 years) that might be included, but from what FH was saying that wouldn't swing it into IHT.

    A married couple has £1m on current nil rate bands provided the house is left to kids/grand kids  (Technically £325K each for assets of any type and £175K each for property)

    If left to spouse that should not be any sort of problem though.
